Geez can’t believe how quickly everyone has turned on Jack Williams. Was an unfortunate bit of indecisiveness today at a critical time but certainly not a hanging offence that some seem to be making out.

He’s no orphan when it comes to making an error this year that’s for sure.
Yep, we don't have' the one player' who is loosing it for us. Its a team effort at the moment

Kelly coming straight back in would kind of undermine the coaches and the whole point of dropping him in the first place.

He did zero to warrant a return to senior football, so it would set a bad precedent for others knowing all you have to do is serve a weeks penance in the WAFL and you'll be straight back in. Pointless.

Doubt it happens.
Pretty obvious based on McQualters comments Kelly wasn't dropped based on disposals and most would assume, when McQualter talked about rewarding the right behaviours, he was referring to defensive running.

For all those saying he shouldn't come back and for those saying he should come back...I think it's down to if he did what was asked of him and I don't think he was asked to go out and win possessions. Essentially don't think the WAFL stats of 20 and 1 are arguments for or against him being selected this week.

Watch his defensive running mate. Today and last week. Its putrid. Good runner and love what he brings offensively but his kicking can also be pretty average.
Worth persevering with but he seems to switch off when in D50. Too often he’s not manned up on an opponent in the clear. But, hey, Dewar is not alone in lacking in defensive skills or smarts.

Allen ain’t gonna be dropped (or not yet) nor Waterman nor AReid. And if we (ridiculously) want a fourth key tall it’ll be JWill. Or at least at this stage.

No hurry. His time will come. 😊
Yeah I know. But... if Archer needs a rest and someone has niggles then just maybe

the bulk of our players can't run either offensively nor defensively so I'd say he's safe for now, especially given his form to start the year

we need to be serious about this rebuild

My 2 cents
Bryant is out for drug cheats so bring Flynn in.
If Duggan wants to demonstrate leadership he ask Mini to have a spell in WAFL.
Bring in HJ on wing has great vision and spead and drop Hunt.

In, Cole!!! (No, just kidding)

I am certain hunt only gets a game because he can sort of run with opposition wingman. But that’s it.

Bazzo for Edwards. I just don’t care. Too slow, gets pushed off easily and complains to ref a lot.

I'm just hopeful my goo feasting spoon arrives before Friday. It is going to be wild in here when Essendon run out 15 goal winners and everyone is on long weekend quantities of alcohol.

Interesting centre bounce attendance stats this week.

Main inside mids: Hutchinson (23), Gross (20), Hall (15), Baker (13)
Chop-outs: Hough (7), Harley (3)
Not used: Graham, Duggan, Ryan

We've used a different main four every round, trying to find a combo that works:
GC: Kelly/Graham/Reid/Duggan
BRI: Kelly/Hall/Reid/Baker
FRE: Kelly/Graham/Reid/Baker
GWS: Kelly/Hall/Gross/Baker
CAR: Hutchinson/Hall/Gross/Baker

Haven't won the clearance count once. Giants game (-9) was the only one we kept to a single figure deficit.
But good to see the coach trying different combos at least, as he said he would...

Sometimes you dont know whats being missed until someone else with the other end of the stick tells you. Jack Graham has been pretty vocal about the inability for us to have multiple training sessions and instead having a travel day is a big road block for us at present. With this in mind is it time we simply rotate players in and out for the entire year, giving players rest weeks. People talk about grinding through it and continuity. Id suspect a week off and a good weekend training block might actually help players more then running them into the ground.

Id be tempted to just drop a few as a rest this weekend. Bailey Williams and Reuben Ginbey are two that standout who would do well with a 1 week block of training and rest
Has merit but I'd be more inclined to do it for away games only. Lets face it we don't have the depth to rotate fit players every week but by doing it every second week we are reducing the travel for those players and these are also the weeks we have less training (travel days).
