OK, WTF's going on here? Every draw I've looked at has the Dogs listed as the home side, but it's being played in NZ. Is there a sponsorship thing happening that the Dogs have agreed to play a home game over in NZ? And if it's right, I'm switching my tip to the Warriors.

Much more straight forward than the Roos playing in Canberra, and unlike Collingwood last year, the Warriors are more than happy to play in Wellington.

The Bulldogs took the financial risk that more people in Wellington would be prepared to watch and pay to see the Warriors play than in Sydney.

The Dogs have found out that they can easily get at least 20,000-25,000 in Wellington, compared to expected 10,000 in Sydney.

This deal with the 'Cake Tin' is only in its second year, but after its success last year from memory five other Australian teams were looking at doing the same thing.

The only thing I don't understand is why they approached Wellington. (Canterbury) Bulldogs playing in Canterbury New Zealand would of been a promoters dream. The Bulldogs may of even got some fan support as well.
