You're right as soon as we dropped Cole we start playing well...

Don't fix something that isn't broken

Cole was dropped for Gather Round, which we lost by 71 points to the previously winless Carlton.

Difference in the days between games played is due for an all time square up when we lose the advantage gained over the Hawks coming into a Round 8 Saturday night game against the Dees (who play on Thursday versus our Sunday evening). Just when I thought a winnable game was approaching.

Yeah but we’ll have that advantage unique to WCE and that is ‘the noise of affirmation’. Only team in the league.

The last couple of times seasons we’ve played Hawthorn anyone, Newcombe and Worpel have everyone has been able to repeatedly break or stand up in tackles, drawing an extra player to tackle, and then release to the free outside player.

Fixed

Bell was asked if Archer would play next week said he would leave it to the match committee, ceo wouldn't attend, perhaps the development coach may.
Well that's part of the problem if Webster and Brennan are on the selection committee.
They should be the first ones out the door at the end of the season. No other club would give them a gig.

Has Yeo had a setback in rehab?

On March 4th....

“Elliot is back running and will continue to increase his loads over the next few weeks before we see him in some training drills,” Inness said.

That was 7 weeks ago and he is still listed as 4-5 weeks.

This has the makings of a classic Yeo "missed" season.
Surely nobody thinks Yeo will change anything positive for this team when back. He is done

I don't know if they are any good at their jobs and neither do you.

The writing has been on the wall for awhile with Yeo’s injury woes , thankfully he was able to to stay fit enough to get a nice contract signed last year ..

the committee makes recommendations and the senior coach makes the decisions

Yeo's prolonged injury does have that terminal vibe about it.
But I'd still have him in even late in the season, (if fully fit and firing).
Just adds balance, protection, some drive, leadership and takes up a quality oppo player.

The last of the premiership crew to receive the golden handshake into retirement.

Source?

We don’t actually know how the match committee works.

Previously the footy GM (Daniher then Vozzo then Bell) was the chair. I’d assume they’d be more likely to get a final say over the coach.

You only have to look at the crap results over the last 4 yrs to see how successful they've been in their roles.
