The problem I have is players displaying form in the sanfl who are continually ignored for selection lose interest eventually. If this is happening to several players it becomes a morale issue and form of these players and the team drops.
I have watched this happen in the first half of the season many times under Ken. He sticks with underperforming players for too long. In the end it all turns to mush both for the Power and the Maggies.
And Ken has his favourites, eg. Broadbent. Always mentions him everytime he's chatting about players to members events I have been to. No problem with that providing he is in good form in the Maggies and is the best option. My reading of the Maggies last game thread suggested very polarised views on Broadys game.
