In before we all need a good and healthy vent thread. :oops:

My current thoughts:

WHE -> Barlow/Franklin/ EDIT: Heeney/Hanners
  • pending Franklin's B/E for next w/e still being crap and then not needing to come in yet (I think it'll still be crap)
  • pending WHE's B/E being awful / not having something better to do elsewhere. WHE still going to be carrying that 100 so his B/E won't be terrible, can probably hold. Don't want to hold.
Hampton -> Hibberd / ??? [Laird/Shaw]
  • If Hibberd cracks 90+ tomorrow, I'm pretty keen on this. Talk me out of it?
  • I don't want Shaw back in my team, don't make me get Shaw back. Interested though in how the injuries over at GWS impact Shaw and whether they stop experimenting with him.
  • Can see Hampton getting dropped even though he wasn't the worst player out there.
Butler -> rookie ??? [Hugh Greenwood please, they must be able to find a spud to drop after that surely] / Barlow / Franklin
  • Probably peaked and not going to make much more cash. With Nank back next w/e he's on my bench anyway so not a must trade.
Newman -> ???
  • Please get a game next w/e. If he doesn't is another good option to get cash. I'll probably hold a while yet as have other problems.

Also if Heeney cracks the tonne tomorrow and I'm sitting here wondering why I changed my trade to Robbie Gray because it was "safer" I'm going to be spewing. :drunk:

I have the same issue players.

WHE has to go will lose money this week and have a huge break even next.
Getting Barlow 1 week out from his bye is a mistake (especially as you already have Gray), I'd also avoid Franklin but that's just personal preference.
For a forward I'd be looking at Yeo has been huge in wins are if WCE continue their winning form he'll definitely be in the top 6 forward, he has best bye as well. Roo should be cheap soon but i'll wait till after his bye to consider him.
I like Laird a lot, Shaw burnt me at the start of the year and he'd have to do a lot more for me to consider touching him even at his current price. All the other premium defenders (bar Adams) have the dangerous round 11 bye.
Butler probably needs to go, his scoring is down and prices will soon follow suit who to drown grade to is hard to say.
Newman I'll continue to hold. he's way too far down the priority order for me.

Don't have single problem with this thread starting on a Saturday.

My team is in utter disarray. Have ANB, Fisher, McGrath, Newman, Stewart, Nank, Preuss & Cameron with big red dots. This is despite using all my trades to cover outs and shit rookies.

On field I have WHE, Mills, Roughy, Hampton & Parsons stinking it up.

Trades are likely to be forced but will chase value. Wingard and Heeney would be nice ins.

Will see how Myers goes today, will look at Moving Hampton and generating some cash.

Was looking at bringing Treloar in this week, but another down game means I'll wait another week, as he can still bottom out more. Might look to upgrade someone to Yeo or Robertson instead now.

WHE or Phillips out of my FWD line. Might look at Koby Stevens or rookie downgrade for one of them.
Hampton has 3? terrible scores for the year so time to upgrade him to someone decent.

Bringing Soldo in paid off, surely Richmond pair Soldo/Nankervis for rd 8's battle with Sandilands. (just hoping to get an extra week out of Soldo even though he wont score much with Nank back)

As a Franklin owner - DON'T GO THERE

Narrowing it now:

WHE -> Hanners
Hampton/Butler -> Rookie (Hugh Greenwood, or whoever shows up).

Banking cash to bring in Barlow/Ablett/whoever in Round 10.

I feel like i have more trade options than i really want.

How do you narrow it down to just 2 people to boot out of the team?

Well for me it's pretty easy. I already grabbed Myers (regardless of how crap/good he finishes up). Heeney is too iffy for me despite all the upsides. Hanners / Franklin my two targets. Hanners the proven gun midfielder that's super cheap and fits with the rest of my midfielders for bye structure. Whereas Franklin does conflict with bye structure (despite it being best 18 so not too big a deal). Rest of my rookies have decent B/Es except for Hampton and Butler so one of those two needs to go. Decision will probably be made for me if Hampton gets dropped. The other players I'm interested in as has been pointed out by others have bad upcoming byes (GCS and Melb) for most people that have stacked Carlton/Adelaide defenders. If I did go for Heeney and not Hanners I probably could afford Hampton to Hibberd but that's not looking so good atm as Hibberd missing the target I set for him.

WHE has been brilliant but he'll be shipped out for Yeo this week. Yeo has been brilliant in every game bar the two he played at the MCG (well he is an Eagle). Thankfully they don't play there again all year. His round 12 bye is a godsend too. Needs to be in my team.

My other trade will be about cash generation to make the first trade happen. So that means downgrading Hampton/Butler, probably to Myers despite a so-so game today.

I don't know how, but my remaining salary changed from 136k to 27k during full lockout. WTF? Anyone else have something similar? Hopefully it's corrected.

I'm 80k down to 10k.
Unable to make trades at the moment also.
I'm sure it'll be fixed by the morning.

In a perfect world (i.e. prior to Thursday's inevitable carnage);
Hampton --> Someone sub-200k
Hoskin-Elliott --> E. Yeo

I definitely need to bounce some round 11 players, but some round 13 rooks/mid pricers need culling before they bleed too much.
