I know it's early considering there is a week break but i'm pretty exited about Round 8. Have 220k in the back and a few of my players should be coming back to bolster my team (hopefully Priddis, J.Brown, Symes and Cornes).

At the moment, the trades i am leaning towards are:
Bird ---> Swan
Geary (if he doesn't play next week) ---> Browne

This will leave me with 13 trades and only a few more upgrades needed (Gibbs, Palmer, Rioli, Gamble).

If Brown, Symes & Cornes aren't out for more than 4 weeks, these are the trades I am considering...
Craig Bird --> Steven Browne
Nathan Jones --> Heath Scotland/Dane Swan

What are people's thoughts on ~$150k upgrades. I usually would prefer to do $50k upgrades so that I don't have to use up so many cash cows for each gun i get. But with my team being so inconsistent i really need the 400k guns that will score 100 points consistently.

For example with Dyson on my bench i can downgrade him and then upgrade several forwards and backs. Alternatively I can just trade him straight up to Kornes.

Nathan Jones > Adam Goodes/Adam Cooney/Adam Simpson - funny how they're all called Adam. Who to choose?
Nick Riewoldt > Ryan O'Keefe/Nathan G. Brown. Who to choose?

Doubt I'll make any trades this round.

I've got plenty of cash on the bench, but minus Browne who I already have, there are no decent cows coming through at the moment.

Morton to Browne
Bird to GUN.

Hopefully those two generate enough cash for Murphy, otherwise I might get Scotland.

If I can't do either then......

Morton to Browne

Waters to ....? Milburn?
J Brown to.... ?

Tough choices.

Don't trade early of course. I smell heaps of injuries from big game. And if someone doesn't play in the big game who is supposed to, I see the AFL banning them from the Round 8 match.

Im thinking Scott Stevens to Milburn. Clean swap. Would have taken that in heart beat at the start of the season.

Will wait on Riewoldt to see how many weeks. I dont trade guns likely - if at all. Do think BJ's time has come though. Still, Kornes, Swan and P.Burgoyne all look tempting.Will wait for the b/evens on FF Genie.....

I can either do 2 things.

One trade out Gamble? to a 83 grander or Valenti (if named). Then trade Ellis to Milburn.

Week later i would the trade Waters or Mattner to a gun.

Or......

I can do Mattner to Milburn and Ellis to anyone equal or under 279 grand???

However i am not sure because i only have 11 trades left :)o).

Haven't decided yet. Will probably be my first week of 2 trades. Not 100%, but likely to choose from:

Bird -> Cotchin or some other rookie
N.Jones -> Swan/Corey
Riewoldt -> B.Johnson

OUT: Riewoldt
IN: Brad Johnson

Thats pretty much a definate for me.

Then i've got Hodge to deal with....is it worth trading him out? He scored 60 and only played half a game which is a good sign, but i'm worried he might lose some fitness now that he's out with a hammy. Pick up someone like Swan for him? or go even cheaper and look at Kelly?

Looking for suggestions.

I have N.Jones and $144k. Currently planning to upgrade him to Corey.
I also have Bird and Geary. Would like Browne.
Would also like Johnson. Have Brown, Hill, Rioli, Gamble and Porplyzia.

16 trades and $60K remaining ... I have a few problems: Hill, N.Jones, Symes/Cornes/Brown (can probably cover the injuries).

Getting rid of Hill first, a liability atm ...

IN: Forward <370K, Midfield rookie
OUT: Hill, Bird

Got to stick with Jones and hope he had a really, really off-day.

As much as I'd like to trade, my cash cows are Gamble, Tippett, Wona, Pfeiffer, Proud, McNamara and Bird
Only Bird and Pfeiffer look like peaking any time soon.

But I really want Milburn or P Burgs...

Sick of sitting back and hoping for things to happen (e.g. players coming good).

IN: Corey, Browne
OUT: Jones, Morton

Bartel will follow soon.

I think Bird has pretty much peaked (B/E should be around 20 odd), might make another 10k or so but Browne is prime and would be very hard to pass on. Bird's 35 will be around for a few weeks and the way he played today, it wouldn't surprise me if he was dropped for a few games. I would think Bird ---> Browne is a perfect trade this week.
