Ball looked very slippery. Was it a dewy night? We had the most inside 50s of any team in a single game this year
despite losing clearances
Sharp was better, but I would still prefer Prior, Ah Chee or Robertson in the team for him.Very silly of me to feel meh with a 42 point victory, just would like to have seen us be better in front of goal. I still feel that Big O's ruck work is sub par and gives more opportunity to the oppo than us, but he did some good things around the ground. Great to see Joey kick a bag and really pleased for Lester to put in a fantastic performance. Wilmot continues to impress me with stuff that doesn't see a stat. An important win to keep the momentum going, but I think we'll need to be more switched on against the Suns next week.

He was good tonight in key moments. He’s quick and has good attack on the ball. A definite keeper, but I’d love to see him getting more of it … then he would be a STAR. That said, he had plenty of touches tonight.Darcy Wilmot is a star
Top five for me: Bailey, Oscar, Joe, Harris & Ashcroft.
Bailey: this year he started to do some good things defensively but just couldn't get his attacking game going. Last week he got some reward for effort in front of goal while maintaining his defensive efforts. Tonight was another level. Elite game.
Joe: I don't know what I can say about Joe other than that was an absolute top tier key forward performance, but done in the most unorthodox way possible. He kicked long bombs, crumbed marking contests and took a speccy, all the while spending time in the ruck. Hipwood - while not having the impact he'd have liked in front of goal, he was a fantastic foil to Joe. You can just see how intent they both are in playing their roles - it's a sight to behold.
Oscar: absolutely toweled up the Essendon rucks. Very impressive game.
Harris: elite KPD performance. Cuts everything off and doesn't get outmarked. Payne - like Hipwood - didn't have as good a game as his foil, but played a very important role.
Ashcroft: genuinely can't remember a rookie playing this well as an inside mid. He just consistently is in our top few mids - and that is in a team with Neale, Dunkley and McCluggage. He is going to be a great of the game.
First half was some of the worst football you'll watch in terms of forward craft. The boys cracked in, stuck to their process and put on a ten goal display, grinding out the win.
Nothing wrong with winning ugly if you have to.
