Re: Rd 21 Trades

I think I'm correct in assuming that after the trade all 3 players are going to be on the bench? If that's the case then you can't stuff it up too terribly. I think Nroo is a safe bet on the bench because you know he'll play. Higgins will give you the most money... Probably out of the 3 if it doesn't restrict who you can grab I'd dump Mzungu, as good as he's been lately. Having said that if money is important then you can get rid of Higgins instead.

Yeah, just a bit concerned with what they might do, it seems they'll have top 4 locked up. With that in mind if you're considering Priddis I'd probably go that way, he's been very good and WC need to finish strong to get a chance at a top 4 spot. Having said that, if (big if) Mitchell/Hodge aren't rested then they have a dream draw and should score better than Priddis... it's a tough one.

No they won't be on the bench my team is on page three of this thread. Whoever I trade will become Goodes on the feild and the others I have to keep on the feild. I wish I had the depth to have a bench of that calibre!
If Higgins isn't named It'll probably be him but I think he might actually outscore Mzungu and Riewoldt so I"m still not sure:confused:

My bad. So, is there some reason Higgins won't be named? Sorry, he isn't in my team so I haven't kept tabs on him in regards to injuries. If he isn't named then he'd be the obvious choice to get moved on, having said that if it were my pick I'd trade Mzungu. Might be totally wrong there - his recent scoring has been incredible! - but I'd take the more experienced players personally.

It's a difficult call but just keep in mind that one of these guys is going to turn into a solid premium so really you may rue losing Mzungu in comparison to Roo if one scores better than the other but you probably won't regret losing him compared to the scoring of your new player (hopefully!)

good luck :thumbsu:

Re: Rd 21 Trades

Not a trade but who do I start.

Darling, Heppel or A Krak?

Very close call. Darling the least reliable but seems to be finding his early form and against Melb. would outscore the other two with a bag of three or four.

Heppel is a star and usually good for about 80 but unlikely to get a big score.
Although he did it against Geelong.

Krakouer has a lot of team mates competing for points in Didak, Sidebottom, Blair and Beams all crumbing for Cloke and Dawes. Least likely to get a big score but more than capable of it!

I'd go Heppel Darling then Krakouer to be safe. Darling if you want to take risks.

Re: Rd 21 Trades

I'd been happy with Pedersen as D7, but after than 22 and the bye this week it worries me.
The defenders to occupy that last spot (after trading out Newman) have not been all that impressive, really, especially with inconsistencies. If I get Enright and lose it'll be annoying next week, but I think he might be the best pick. Suckling hasn't been scoring as well as he has the last few weeks, even more so due to his coming back from injury. Birchall could get rested, yes, but more worrying is his inconsistency. But, both Birchall and Suckling do play Gold Coast in the GF, so that is handy (and, the guy I'll most likely play has Suckling). I wouldn't be inclined to touch Johncock nor Adcock (they are both 'c-o-c-k's :p).
The other alternative is to trade out Sandilands. This could prove very handy as his replacement is likely to be versus Clarke or Bailey, but if Keeffe is named this week it may not be such of an issue.
Decisions, decisions... :S
Any other thoughts or comments on the above? :)
Thanks!
With Sandilands back in the team, I guess my trade moves to Newman...especially with Gilbee not back in! GRR.
So, basically, who is the best DEF under $473,500 (I can't afford Scotland and he has a bye in 2 rounds). Note: Suckling is in the team of the guy that I will most likely play in the GF so that squares up one of his PODs against me which may or may not be beneficial as opposed to having my own POD.
Thoughts? Thanks :D

Re: Rd 21 Trades

Help!!

My team:

Gibbs, Goddard, Fisher, Deledio, Broughton, Birchall, Heppell,
Lower, Puopolo, Toy

Pendles, Judd, Boyd, Swan, Ablett, Harvey,
Swallow, Mzungu, Jacobs

Cox, Smith
Lobbe, Tippet

Pav, Fyfe, Goodes, Sylvia, Franklin, Petrie, Riewoldt,
Howe, Lynch, Richardson

I have 5 trades and $351

with no Cats players hopefully I won't need to trade next week..

I am thinking for this week - Howe>ROK to cover Petrie, and Swallow can cover Harvey in the mid for this week
and thinking Z.Smith> either Mcevoy or Mummy

and that is where my problem is.. do I go for Mcevoy or Mummy? I am leaning towards Mcevoy as he has had huge scores recently and Mummy has been injured? so he might get rested round 24? only guessing here

Mcevoy or Mummy?
any other suggestions for my team?

I remember reading somewhere that rucks V Richmond tend to do well. May help with this weeks decision since Sydney are playing them. Not that I am a supercoach king, but I chose Mumford over McEvoy last week. Couldn't really tell you why, just felt more right.

Re: Rd 21 Trades

Not a trade but an EMERGENCY question.

My mate & I are arguing over whether he should play Batchelor or L. Thompson as starting D7.

I reckon L.Thompson or he does have S. Buckley but he's named as an emergency.

I'd go Batch.. at least he's named on the field unlike Thompson.

Re: Rd 21 Trades

Darling and heppel can't play in the same position so, i don't know what your going to do

Other DPP's. If I start Darling it means I push Fyfe back in the mids for callian and Heppel goes to the bench. If I start heppel then fyfe goes forward. I would have thought it was obvious that there was something like that happening for me to ask the question lol.

I was always leaning towards Heppel but i'll make it more complicated. I can start Heppel in DEF benching Stanley. Meaning darling also starts.

So Heppel MID and stanley DEF
or
Heppel DEF and Darling FWD?

Re: Rd 21 Trades

Goldstein > The next best ruckman after Cox... Any ideas?

Thinking Mummy or Bmac from Saints

I would be keeping goldstein unless it is desperatly needed to win an elimination final in a cash league or bragging league.

Otherwise I'd say Bmac long term Mummy short term

Re: Rd 21 Trades

I think I am screwed this week. In my main league my opponent and I basically have the same team ............

The POD will be
Birchall, Cotchin, Z. Smith, Yarran, Rioli, R'OK

v's

Suckling, Boyd, Mumford, LeCras, Johnson and Chapman.

So I can either blow my last 2 trades trying to boost my team (Petrie and Cotchin out for Leuy and Mitchell for some PoD), which I doubt would be enough to win it anyway, or take the loss, save my x2 trades and hopefully take on an opponent next week who is loaded up with Geelong players. What do people think ??? I am leaning towards taking the loss.

Thanks. He has made the sub on your recommendation. ( No pressure, whoever answered first was our agreement on choice)

Personally i hope you are wrong. :p

It is desperate as I don't have any ruck emergencies. Even thought I have the double chance in all but one league im still going for overall too.

Bmac it is

Re: Rd 21 Trades

I have 1 trade left and want to use it this week because I'm in an elimination final of a cash league.

I want to use it on a defender because I have tons of coverage for forwards/mids.

Problem is there are no bloody good defenders! Someone help!

My defence is: Goddard, Gibbs, Deledio, Fisher, Adcock, Heppell, Lower. Bench - Newman, Tarrant, Strauss.

I am going to trade Newman as I believe his season is over, but are there any good premiums left? It seems to be either Suckling or Birchall?

Also, if I bring in another premium, would you play Heppell or Lower as D7?

Re: Rd 21 Trades

OUT: Newman
IN: ??? ($473,500 or less)
:S

Who do you have and how many trades do you have left? I'm thinking of bringing in Hurn (to tip off my opposition this week :D) because that'll leave with me lots of cash for my last couple of trades. However Fisher is probably the best option overall (but most people have him), and Broughton the best option with the fewest owners.

Re: Rd 21 Trades

My thoughts are that it would be an epic fail to trade out cox. Id run with cox and lobbe unless your in an elimination this week.

Should I keep my trades and bench boomer for mzungu, or bring in lecras/Cyril? I have 4 trades and 140k. I'm unlikely to win my main league this week but if I do I can keep enright next week. Also would like to upgrade heppell and need to swap Gibbs if required in the coming weeks.

Re: Rd 21 Trades

Also in need of a Newman > ? tossing up between Adcock and Suckling... all but given up on the idea of getting Enright a week before his bye.

backline: gibbs, deledio, fisher, broughton, birchall, goddard, puopolo, delaney, strauss, newman

since you have other trades planned and Mzungu has been in such great form - and is playing at home - I'd probably not trade. Having said that, Cyril has easy opp this week. good luck!

Id go Adcock, cheaper, good rcent form and playing the suns first week of finals
What do you think of the potential Cox trade above Robbus?
