Route through Melbourne

Don't often go to Melbourne, only through it from Ballarat - Omeo & vice versa, where I just go through citylink. My question is, what is the easiest way (from the West Gate) to get to Moorabbin without paying tolls? Last time I went (pre citylink) I just went out on the South Eastern and down Warrigal but I don't think you can do this anymore toll free? Any help appreciated.

That'd be the best way though it is called St. Kilda Rd at the point where they intersect.
