It was trialled, not sure there were any signs of a boss-like AFL-quality CHB though.Drake Shmake............
This was happening last year and was clear, he'd be trialed in the back-line.
Who called him out as a CHB boss?
Rowe has been terrific but he has limitations and a couple poor games and we'll be calling for his head........you know how it works with us.

Might be worth putting the clamps back on that lid right now Sharkie, you don't want to put the "mocca's" on him.
I've ended many Carlton careers on bigfooty. Adam Bentick, Jake Edwards, Ryan Jackson, Shaun Hampson, Dennis Armfield (TG pls) to name but a few.
With that solid track record, it looks like Rowe is going to be delisted in another year's time then.

Cheers. It's been a long time since we've had a genuine 'gorilla tamer'. It's nice to not get the shivers leading in to games with two key forwards. I think white has been serviceable as our third tall back as well. Kudos to coaching staff. Jamo quoted saying how much easier life is with big Sam wrestling the big guys.
I can only see upside as it is his first season as a Backman and he is learning and developing at a rapid rate. Big test this week..

Good call Drake.
Was trialed at CHB last year through the VFL and performed well.
With only one of Casboult or Rowe able to play forward at any one time, Rowe may just be better served spending more time down back.
The other fact is that if Watson is played in the seniors, we'll only have an 18 year old Giles as a tall back in the VFL. Much to much an ask for the kid.
Development was carefully planned at VFL level last year and burning the kid too early may not be prudent.
Will be interesting to see exactly where Rowe shows up through the pre-season but a back post wouldn't surprise at all.
That Rowe's a surprise packet for sure!
