What happened to our reserves side in '94?

I think we were unbeaten after about 7 rounds (we had a 9 goal come-back against St.Kilda one day, to win by a kick or so!), yet I'm not sure whether we even made the finals in the 2's that year.

Does anyone remember the outcome for our reserves team that season??

Footscray (with half their senior side in) beat us by about 20 goals at the MCG on Prelim Final day. It was the curtain-raiser to the famous Geelong v North Ablett after the siren match.

That comeback against St Kilda ... I thought we were actually as much as 70 points down at one stage.

Didn't Seecamp (from East Perth) come up the goods in the last quarter or something like that?

David Bain kick about 3 to give us the lead. We were about 9 goals down at 3 quarter time, and I pretty sure you're right Kev, we'd kicked the last few of the 3rd, so most likely we were even further back.

It was a ripper of a comeback. The crowd really got into it, too. Never seen such a crowd reaction to a H&A reserves game.

Sorry to bring this back up again as a Bulldog supporter, but yeah it gave us the springboard to win the ressies flag that year as well. I think a lot of the players in the team (Atkins, MacPherson and others) not only played seniors, but a few had played the week before aginst Melbourne in the ones.

Ah the ressies, so many memories.

I was actually on the ground (as a trainer) for both games.

v Saintas, very windy last quarter and they were actually up by 65 points a few minutes into the last quarter and then all of a sudden bang, bang (you get the picture). If I remember correctly Danny Morton kicked one roving from the centre tap out - goal of the day! I always remember we had to kick 11 goals in the last quarter to win!

v Bullies; we kicked the first goal and I thought 'here we go, granny next week here we come!' And that was about it for the rest of the day. The first goal seemed to snap the doggies into action and they tore us a new one big time.

Another memorable day was actually the magoos losing to Hawthorn in the ressies, they were cellar dwellars, but then the seniors upset Hawks on Dunstall's tesitmonial day and Shaggy Hawking and Saviour Zanott's kept him goalless! Bloody brilliant!
