i was woundering all u swan supporter who are going to be ya rucks for 09
ofcourse jolly but who will the back up br currie or white. I like White and i hope he gets the spot but i was woundering who was in with a better chance.

It's talked about as a given that Currie will be the no 2 ruckman this year and while I agree the swans will be leaninig in that direction the pre season competition will have a big factor on this. I imagine that Currie, White and the rookie Orreal will be doing the ruck work against Port and beyond if it happens.

If Currie does a decent enough job as I suspect he will the job will fall to him.

White will probably aimed at a KPP, If Micky O misses the start of the season you may see White in the forward line.

soph

Jake is currently a rookie. Unless he is promoted for Fosdike will remain so unless we have a long term injury.

So If Jolly or Currie go down for a week or two or Currie's form does not stand up White will probably be doing the back up ruck work or LRT.

It's a big year in Jakes development and the hope he becomes effective in Canberra.

But you can relax, with a bunch of shocking drafts coming up capable 204cm players are like gold, providing he works hard he is a good chance of promotion to the list at the end of the year or next.

Yes yes i know that
i know Jake probs wont get promoted unless he is after round 11 or what ever it is but he will be fab in the ressies but i do hope he gets his shot and trust me he is working HARD

White's not a ruckman. He'll be a KPP that can maybe pinch hit in the ruck when needed, or nothing. He's just those few centimetres too short.

Currie will be the second ruck, and Orreal will be third choice, though if either Currie or Jolly goes down, we may see White, LRT and Richards share second rucking duties before Orreal, who is still pretty raw, comes in.

jolly is training pyke atm so they might run him if his kicking and marking improves..lrt will also ruck but we need a ruck with more stamina ..and can cover the ground ,kick goals and help win major contest..thats why jolly is so good he can rove very well as ruck..according to his background pyke is quite the athlete so should take well to the game..like a duck to water im hoping

Agreed. I would like to see White playing in LRT's position in defence. If he can handle it then have him there instead of LRT. I think we all agree that LRT isn't safest option in defence.

No, no we dont, LRT is very very effective
