Any comments on our rookies for the year?

I thought Nicoski looked a likely type as did Edwards in patches. Didn't see much of Rudeforth.

Rudeforth is in his 2nd year on the rookie list, and either needs to be elevated or delisted (after which he can be redrafted onto the rookie list for 1 more year).

With 4 spots already available on our list, and the trade period still to come, we could see a couple of those rookies elevated (unless the eagles plan on drafting kids with pick #67 or something).

EDIT: I made a change...

I like the look of nicoski. If he puts in some gym time those penetrating runs and kicks off half back looks the goods. Seems to be a pretty smart and skillful player.

Nicovski must be kept, i have seen a LOT of him this year and put simply he has great talent and a real football brain, just knows where to be. He also has a very good kick. Plays of Half Back and can create real drive from defense!

Rudeforth im afraid i dont think will be kept, just not better than anything we could get elsewhere

Edwards can stay on the list another year, is young but is very promising:)

Nicoski certainly has potential, don't yet know whether his body can take it. I like his long kicking, drive and rebound out of defence.

Rudeforth has been troubled by injuries and I haven't seen enough of him, but he would have to be wobbly.

Edwards is an excellent overhead mark for his size and can play HFF, but cannot yet get into the full strength West Perth side (mind you, last year Mark Seaby was playing WAFL reserves for a fair time too). He gets another year as an interstate recruit to see if he can establish himself.

Nickoski :like him the best, has the ability to play at AFL and could be quite penetrating off the HBF with that lovely kick of his. Definitely worth promoting.

Edwards: haven't seen much of him to be honest.

Rudeforth: not much of a fan, probably should delist and let him go write letters to all the other AFL clubs asking them to draft him.

Nicoski has the package in terms of skills and footy brain- i see him as the next gen midfielder down the track once Cousins, Fletcher and Co hit their late 20s. I can't see him playing AFL footy next year though, he's still too much of a waif physically.

Nicoski should be and probably will be elevated for next season, classy type, great skills, long kick...versatile forward or back.

Edwards..has potential...give another year on rookie list for sure.

Rudeforth..see ya later, two years on the lkist ans hasn't shown enough...will be cut.

Rudeforth should be elevated or given another season on the rookie list I reckon he has potential.

He's already been on the list for two years, meaning he either has to be elevated or cut....bye bye clancy.

Edwards will remain for 2004 and it would be absolutely crazy if Nicoski was dropped.

Clance Rudes' will have a 1% chance of being elevated onto the seniors list next year. A bit of a shame considering he was getting over his OP and playing a few decent games with Claremont

Rudeforth just has nothing going for him. No height, no speed and isn't a ball magnet. You need to be something pretty good to make up for that.
