To keep this on topic, there is a rumour going around that there are other people who still think like NAUGHTS.

It was a bad deal from the get and most knew it in our heart of hearts. Simple really, i would never had done the deal.

I opted to start a Rumour File, and I did refer to one of your rumours in the first post as an example, along with another rumour, but I wouldn't say you were the catalyst.

We often come up with ways of managing similar post types so they don't clog up the main board, but that wasn't necessarily borne out of your physio rumour.

It's still a hole in our list. Injury free Brock would have been an amazing pick up. Better than Ellard, Curnow etc.

So hopefully we're making some serious inquiries about Caddy (though BIB seems to think we've gone cold). Disappointing.

Surely Caddy knows that he can be a first choice centremen in a CFC premiership team in 12 months? (Why would he want to play second fiddle to Jobe Watson in another EF loss?)

IMO Ellard won't be Best 22 next year, but will be in because he plays a role, and does the team stuff. Still replaceable, still quality.

Essendon appear to lack the tradeable players needed to get Caddy. They would have to sacrifice Hooker and gut their KPD stocks to acquire him. A win-loss trade if they trade 19 and Hooker to get Caddy. We can afford to hold out until he's out of contract. If Bower and our other young KPD stand up next year, then we might have more to offer than Essendon. Their first round pick in the 2012 draft is likely to be used on Joe Daniher. They might have to go all out in this weaker draft if they want Caddy.

We can wait.

Every premiership side has role players. .. The problem is that once they win a premiership their status goes up a cog and people no longer see them as superfluous. ..
