Thisems like a 'Pettifer would be good at Carlton' theory got turned into 'Pettifer wants to play at Carlton' type bullshit theory.

Pettifer is not good enough to be head hunted and it is far too early in the season for him to be looking at being traded.

If it was round 18 I would give this story some credit. But it's not. False alarm.

I know this is'nt the player but Hawthorn were interested in Danny Meyer last trade week.

He might leave aswell.

More likely delisted rather than move. Realistically Hawthorn wanted Meyer because they wanted him to play a sort of Stuart Dew role. Since you convinced him to come out of retirement there is no real place for a player like Meyer at Hawthorn. Add to that the fact that he's crippled with injuries and yet to show anything at VFL level let alone AFL level and I think the Hawks would be better served using a 5th round or rookie pick on a speculative junior.

I beleive Lids has made a firm committment to a certain player which he is excited about more than most BF posters. In the next couple of weeks we might get to see how good of a mentor Lids has been and we might also get to see him play some pretty good footy, with a little less pressure. Don't be surprised if the debut is sooner rather than later
