Injury Russell your feathers - discuss all things high performance; injury lists, Marvel surface, curse from the gods and Andrew Russell

It's obvious that the Russell agenda will continue to filter through multiple threads

But how the hell can he be blamed for Elijahs suspension and Marchbank contracting covid

Williams is on track from sustaining an ACL, last year

All other players on track to return for our 3rd game, with Walsh being a very conservative approach and will have similar issues with back soreness for the rest of his career

Players, from all clubs sustain injuries, why would anyone think our club would be any different

every year! when will you stop chasing your tail and let these uber pessimists have their moaning & bleating? when will you ever learn?

It is easy to blame 1 person and changing 1 person seldom has much of an impact but

The facts are we are near the top of games missed due to injury every year. Whether this is Andrew Russell or the fact we have recruited injury plagued players on a discount or some other factors, the cause need to be determined.

We are realistically facing not having played a single minute yet the likelihood is another wasted year due to not having a core of best players available.

Bumping this one back up.

Saad with a Hammy is disappointing. Weiters missed the season opener with a calf. Jack Martin ongoing soft tissue injuries, and now Motlop hasn't been able to get back with a Hammy.

As always it is a combination of factors, and it's early in the year. Things like someone landing on Marchbanks head, Docs knee or Fogs wrist are footy incidents...the soft tissue ones on the other hand need to be scrutinised.

We have alot of players on our list very susceptible to injury.
ln a long season with many evenly matched teams, this may be the difference in being a top 4 team.

I won't blame Russell because that is a cop out. But the simple fact is that this has been an issue since 2012 and there has been no improvement post Russell. So he is not at fault but the ROI on him has not been great.

Amazing that this thread grows legs after 1 loss
Amazing you can laugh off 3 hamstring injuries in less than a week on top of Cunners, Motlop and Martin with soft tissue issues.

5 weeks in and we've already had a bye?

We're going to struggle to win a game with those outs over the next month.

Yeah, saw similar last year until the pointy end of the season, then absolute silence

We got out of jail last year. Lightning doesn't strike twice. If you're counting on a miraculous injury turnaround again you'll be sorely disappointed.
