I wonder where I sit Hammo. I am a good old fashioned supporter hardened by years of mediocrity who has had a fantastic ride over the pasr few years on the back of genuine hard, honest footy.

Until the Saints game I was still on the same ride, but am somewhat perplexed by the slip back to mediocrity. Every Swans supporter has the right to an opinion as to why this has happened. Since when was it a pre-requisite to have played the game at the highest level to have an in depth knowledge.
There are heaps of people out there who have played footy and coached at all sorts of levels and are educated in the finer points of the game.

For the first time in my life I had an attack of the footy warm and fuzzies only to have it taken away in the space of a month.

Mediocrity is not 8 & 7 with a couple of close losses this year, nor is it a Premiership, 2 Grand Finals, a Preliminary Final and 8 years in finals out of the last 10 years.

You offer that to a Richmond, Western Bulldogs, Fremantle or St Kilda supporter and they will tell you about mediocrity.

I think a few supporters on here and especially RWO need to take stock and actually see what this club has acheived in the last 10 years compared to circa 1994.

The only thing that last week shows is that the Sydney Football Club will not tolerate what has gone on at our club in the past and it won't be another 72 years before our next premeirship.

Matthews, anyone. Anyone could have got 3 kicks, 3 frees against.

Couch start of 2005, and most of 2006. Williams. Replaced by Schmitt, Moore, etc.

Just another dig at Roos. All people responsible fpr selection take the heat for any mistakes.

The buck has to stop at the coach. Pity he has no say in selection now days.

Anyone ahead of Matthews. Kirks position should be easily replacable at the moment, especially if he is leading the dont-kick-it-to-him divisive campain.

Ahead of Chambers would be Rix, Knobel, Spida, even Gardiner.

Agree, the form of the side is not good.


Some people might be realists and understand that winning the flag doesnt automatically mean you will do the same the following year. And some people might not automatically turn on their own when things arent looking so rosy.

Some people are "Brisbane", some are "Port Adeliade".
