Looks like now that you boys have picked uo Jamar & Jared Rivers from the Chooks, we get one back.

Could you give us a clue in Roosterland about a young fella from the topend by the name of Ryan Ayres, only know that he had a big reputation up there, is 6 foot 3, & had a couple of years of injuries, & was on the Dees list.

BTW, how are Jamar & Rivers fareing in the pre-season

Cheers Holly.

Firstly as for Jamar and Rivers, they are both doing very well :D

Ayres is a talented but extremely injury prone player. Main position would be wing, but has had more of a forward role of late. He has dodgy shins and is also prone to many other injuries, and I doubt that his body could hold upto the riggers of SANFL footy let alone AFL, which is unfortunate because he has definite talent.

Yeah, what Deestroy said.

Thanks Dee & Cowboy, got a bit off the Melbourne web site as well. Maybe he`ll give us a good year if we can control the injuries. Mark Jamarr sent him over when he was delisted.
Could you tell me where & when Melbourne train as I`m coming over in late February for the stones concert & would like to see how the young fellas are going on the track ?.

You should consider asking the people at www.demonland.com about Ayres. They know a lot about him.

I've heard that if he can stay injury free, he will be a very exciting player but that is a big IF. Has been playing CHF in Darwin recently and kicking big bags. Can also play wing. He is a fantastic pick up if he can stay fit. Hope that helps.

He was probably a tad unlucky to get delisted. Main reason would have been his consistent injuries. Ah well, looks like our Rookie List is pretty good still anyway! :)
