any chance of getting to collingwood?if so who would they take if him and thomas were available?
Would be a Huge Surprise and I would take Ryan over Thomas

Does anyone else think this guy is grossly underrated? I think he could be a top ten bolter, he can do everything.

I do he has Top 10 Potential but seems to fall down a bit,

Just like Callan Ward 2 years ago

the kids got 200 games written all over him, goes left and right he works spaces well and can cut lines on defence. not to mention his run

wouldnt be at all unhappy if the crows pick him up with thier first round thats even if he is still around

Deledio, Cotchin, Foley, Martin, Bastinac and Tambling sounds promising :thumbsu:
Really hoping Richmond pick him with 19 if his still there

Yeah I reckon he's vastly underrated. Very good disposal and has a touch of class at times. Good athlete as well. Would definately welcome him at pick 12 if he was there at the crows.

yeah for the last few months i have been hoping for bastinac, gysberts or melksham to be around for pick 21

im now realising that was pretty naive and they will be gone way before then

He is a 1st rounder for sure. Well balanced, excellant hands in close and seems to be very calm when under pressure. Could well be a bolter, knows his game very well. Red and white uniform for this lad.

Add some blue and he's a bulldog through and through :).

Looks a real pure footballer to me.
He does have a fair bit of the Pendelburys about him and Pendelbury was abit of a bolter to pick 5.
Bastinac is very one touch and kicks very well on both sides, an elite runner also and i would be very happy if he was still around for Geelongs pick 17.
Got a feeling he could go to the Dons.

One of the reasons he will go early is his leadership qualities: when Scully went down, Bastinac stepped up and did his best to get the Stingers over the line. He was a part of most of the Stingers' centre clearances, although not always the one of get them himself. He ran hard and was neat off both sides. I liked the way he could sidestep to both sides and onto either foot without thinking about it.
I do have issues with his defensive work: he is more likely to run off a guy than stick close to him. he has always been the hunted up to this point and does not seem to be much of a hunter. I think whoever picks him up will have to work hard with him on this. Unaccountable mids have to be damned good to make it now. This was noticeable in the U18 GF, when he went head to head with Melksham for a while. Both got the ball a lot, but neither gave their opponents more than a glancing thought. Things went better later when matches changed, putting each lad into a role they were more comfortable with. I noticed and considered it a black mark against both of them.

Thought he'd bolt, but now hope he doesn't!

If Stevens, Griffiths and Stevens are available at 19, it'll be a bloody hard decision.

I'd lean towards Stevens, but gee whiz Bastinac has made a big run in my mind and might just get the nod come thursday. For some reason he reminds me of Grimes (Jack)

That said, I agree he will find a home between 13 and 16. Scott Clayton didn't put him in his top 15 today

Would be delighted to secure him.
