Traded him for Adelaide's 2nd round pick (pick 28) which we used to draft Mark Powell (who I feel is in real danger of being delisted)

Such a pity too, he could definitely play. Kicked 4 goals in a match against us just to rub it in.

Extremely injury prone though... dodgy knees, and he wanted to go home to Adelaide. Didn't play many games for Adelaide either.

Agreed, injuries were the problem for him. Seemed a bit skinny as well as a FF but definitely could jump and mark.

yep while i dont watch big brother my mates have told me he describes himself as lanky, dorky, clumsy sorta bloke, which is probably why he was so injury pronce. and those surgeries and injuries were what made him give the game up.

Yeah, he only played 8 games before he was injured again.

I was listening to the pre-match on abc radio a while ago, can't remember which particular game it was though and Rodney Eade made the comment that he thought Ryan would struggle again at the elite level.

This was not just because of his injury prone body, but also because he lacked the seriousness about his football. If you examine his persona in general on big brother, he seems to be too laid back and happy go lucky sort of type.

Any thoughts ?

I would have thought he'd have the capacity to turn of the carefree Ryan while he's playing football.
