How good must this kid be? I know it was only a practice match but he kicked 4 goals when the game was there to be won and took a screamer as well. Can't wait to see him play more games next year. :thumbsu:

Screamer indeed... if he did mark that one! :p

saw him play alot last year when playering for glenelgs reserves. He will one day take the mark of the year, he has alot of talent and given time will be a very good footballer

Unfortunantly he didn't hold the mark, but if he did it would've been one of the marks of the year even though it was only in a practice match.

This kid has impressed the hell out of me, and I have a strong feeling he's gonna be an elite player in the next 2-3 years.

Methinks Gamble will play 15-20 gamesin the firsts next. Thought this prior to the mickey mouse game.

How about the one he took in the VFL this year too - near the start of the year - that was a great mark. Should've got mark of the year in the VFL, but it was not an ABC televised game. It was shown on Almost Football Legends though.

First time i have seen him and i was super impressed. Looks genuine class was worth the 20 quid to see him alone. Otherwise a complete waste of time.

The kid has bucketloads of talent, but is horribly light.

15-20 games is an unrealistic expectation unless he hits the weights BIG TIME over summer.

Cheers.

i kinda disagree seb
if he has the talent and earns his possie then why wouldnt he get a game
The pies played dale thomas and they would be about the same build.
I reckon he might play about 20 games also

Fair enough.

I just think with Vegas, he needs that extra strength to play 15-20 games. And also remember Dale Thomas suffered an injury to his collar bone. It's not so much that we need him in the team, it's more that we want to prevent any long-term injuries from occurring.

I only saw him once - in Round 22 against Hawthorn, and despite the result he certainly didn't look out of his depth. Be surprised if we don't see more of him next year. He'll bulk up over time.

mackie will be remembered as one of Geelong's greatest imo, and he is light.

Hopefully Gaz can have a big preseason and move into the midfield on a more permanent basis opening up a spot on the flank for Gamble. This would mean Gaz, Chappy, Stokes, Dog and Gamble all rotating up forward (and some in the mid). Having quality crumbers is something we lacked this year but add to the fact that they are all handy over head and I think you'll find that all of a sudden we can start kicking goals again.

Gamble seemed to go a bit unnoticed by most prior to last years draft but from reading the draft preview from Inside Footy it sounded as if he just kept bringing his game up a notch at every challenge. May turn out to be a bit of a steal at pick 47 last year.

Will see a fair bit of him in the preseason one would hope.
