No. Too likely to break down mid Test. And with how choppy our team is at the moment, we can't take the risk of being a bowler down in an Ashes Test.

Ryan Harris is quite possibly our only chance of winning tests in England (and perhaps even here bar Perth).

He plays if fit.

Reckon you'd be nuts not to take him over there if he's fit. Would love to see him play test cricket again.

If he's fit and ready then he is a must. Second only to patto for me and many think he's better than him.

Could prove to be a real wildcard in their conditions. I'd almost be tempted to take him over there even if you could guarantee he'd only get through one or two games.

As ManWithNoName said though, he's a massive injury risk mid match.

He's a risk of breaking down but i dont think during the match fears are that big of a possibility you wouldn't pick him. That'd be like freo not picking sandilands because he's injury prone.

Harris won a test in Sri Lanka in the 2011 tour. He's good enough on dry pitches.

Pattinson, Harris and Siddle is a pretty ****ing strong pace battery for the Pom's on seaming decks.

Especially if they go the rotation route, we won't loose much with Bird and Starc in the wings.

if harris is fit i think we play him, we can't build a team around him but lets take what we can get when he is available.

I know some think it's a risk but harris seems to break down between tests/series not during a match and it's not like anybody else we pick in his place is any less likely to break down, all our quicks are huge fitness gambles.

May as well play 4 quicks there. Especially if Watto won't bowl. As much as people want to talk down our chances if our best quicks are all fit they could cause England a lot of trouble.

That has more to do with the massive gap between the two batting lineups, our quicks wouldn't just have to match englands they would have to be outbowl england comfortably to overcome that gap.

England then have the option of producing pitches with less life as the series goes on and then bringing their superior spin attack into play, we have no real spin attack and our top 7 is awful, no amount of talented quicks can overcome that in a 5 test series.
