As a big fan of Lones I've been surprised to see him used as a 3rd tall defender so far

While he looks phsically stronger I was expecting to see him moved into the midfield. I think he has massive potential and has a huge weapon with his long kicking

Just wanted to know where everybody else thinks he should play

If he continues to play like he did today I think the backline is the place for him. There will be occassions that he will be more usefull further up the ground.

I was disappointed with his kicking today. He is much better than that but overall it looks like he will play this year more to his ability than the last two years.

I spoke to his junior coach a few years a go who said he was a huge talnet but really really really soft. I think that this is the aspect of his game which stands between him being a good and great player.

Although he has Gained Bulk, i would ultimately Like him to be a Midfielder.

Yes he is Soft and that is what holds him back in my books.

I liked the look of him, we could use another versatile Clement type. It doesn't hurt that he can race down and crack at the sticks from 60 out either.

Most likely he is being given a taste of defense to toughen him up and progress his football education before moving into the midfield again.

His defensive work really has been his strong point this year.

I think his kicking out was just a once off bad day, they were falling shorts 5-10 metres when he usually can roost it 60m.
