IMHO, he's a good player who should mature into a very good player BUT I do feel he is a bit overated atm. His disposal can at times be terrible and he seems to be disinterted sometimes. Can go missing.

And I dont think he's an ideal matchup for the big, strong power forwards either.

In any case, wouldnt mind him at Carlton cause if theres one thing we need its KP defenders.

I wouldn't classify him as a KP defender. He's still skinny as a rake and has the body strength to rival someone playing in the under 13s at your local club.

Im happy with how our defenders are coming along but Im not convinced that our defence does not need at least one more KP defender.

I prefer Waite up forward, I'm still not convinced Setanta can cut it (love his passion), Jamison is an equally good match for small forwards as he is big forwards, same as Thornton. In short, I think we could do with another KP defender and as you say, another forward.

Barry you are forgetting the injured Bower, Walker and Bannister.
Setanta appears to be able to cut it. He dominated Cloke, and has had several draws with a few big players, such as Pavlich.

Bazza, what more does Setanta have to do to convince you that he has made it? He has been fantastic particularly over the last few weeks. He's definitely made it.

Aussie is the great white hope for us down back. He's been in great form for the Ants so look for him to come into the team sooner rather than later and show signs that he can hold down a KP defensive spot.

He's much bigger than Ryder and will be able to take on the gorrilla forwards in due course.

He could, but he's going to take a very long time. He's more accustomed to a 3rd defensive role playing on guys that are like Fisher - not KP, but reasonably big. Having said that, I hope he plays on Fev this week
