Stats & History S32 Rules & Tribunal Thread

I made the slightest error on a team sheet one day. Technically broke the rules but the punishment wasn’t worth the crime.

Boncer introduced boncers law that saw a common sense approach to the rules that they are applied at the discretion of the mod more so for minor issues not for big major breaches.

It was bought in coz EBIAC walked out and it wasn't fair to punish the Demons that Juggs missed a deadline for team submission when he only found out he was captain after the deadline.

Juggs then became bitterly opposed to the rule. 😂

This, Barrybran.

Hi NaturalDisaster. Could we please have some clarity pertaining to the All-Sweet FA selection process this season? :)
Yes

This season

- There will be no quotas.
- Captains must nominate at least one player, and no more than 5 (Needs to be a Max or the Bombers will try and nominate their entire team).
So for clarity, the number of midfielders etc. nominated for All-Sweet FA honours will in no way impact the final structural make-up of the team (obviously aside from, say, 30 nominated midfielders meaning there are 30 nominated midfielders to choose from)?
Headless Headless Headless, lets start the season before debating All SFA?
OR we could clearly articulate the parameters now to avoid issues later. :thumbsu:
I missed this committee discussion.
It's just proposed, it'll be discussed with committee at a later date.
Oh, cool. Propose it to the committee before getting Headless's hopes up I reckon.
But it's fun to get Headless hopes up only for him to be disappointed..

NaturalDisaster

Hi ND,

I'd like to make an official complaint about how early the match threads have gone up.

In case you didn't notice there's been a massive influx of media this season and it's actually ****ing quality for once. For the first time in ages, it would actually be better for the league if we left a day and a half or so for media and team thread activity.

I would say match threads should go up on Monday night at 8pm at the very very earliest and ideally I think Tuesday after noon is a better time.

Hope to hear from you soon, you can let me know via reply in this thread or the team PM or the LG PM or our own PM.

Cheers,

Dav

Spanna_ is not listed in the OUTs for the Warriors in Season 32, despite being delisted last week. Would that be a Low Impact charge under Rule 4B NaturalDisaster? 🤔

4B) Squad Changes

If a change is required to a team list for any addition or subtraction it must be noted in a post in the current season's squad submission thread.

The change must include alteration to the player list, and the list of any additions ("Ins") and subtractions ("Outs")

Rebuttal - the admin plays for us and we will not be copping a penalty, thank you.

The Coney Island Warriors have been charged with violation of Section 4B after failing to name a delisted player in the 'outs' section of their squad submission.

4B) Squad Changes

If a change is required to a team list for any addition or subtraction it must be noted in a post in the current season's squad submission thread.

The change must include alteration to the player list, and the list of any additions ("Ins") and subtractions ("Outs")

The initial squad submission must be altered (preferred) or re-posted (if original poster unavailable) to reflect these changes.

Squad changes are considered complete once both of these above actions have been carried out.

Any players involved in squad changes are unable to be named in a team sheet for the new team until a valid change has been completed.

Any players that have closed or permanently banned accounts are not considered to be active and therefore those players must be removed from the submitted squad and the squad minimum criteria must still be met.

A player may only have one account as a listed player in the Sweet FA. No aliases allowed. A minimum 8 game suspension applies for a breach.

Failure to adhere to these Rules will be punished under Sec[6] of these Rules, as determined by the Administrator.

On Thursday of last week, The Warriors delisted Spanna_ to make room for a rookie signing. Although they correctly posted the change and removed him from the squad, they neglected to add him to the list of outs just below the squad list.

This has been graded as a low impact violation and thus Warriors captain TheInjuryFactory will serve a suspended one game ban, which will be active if another rule is violated. This suspended sentence will remain in place for the remainder of S32.

6C) Low Impact

The following list of offences will result in a suspended 1 game suspension for a team’s listed captain(s), and any offending player:
  • Incorrect spelling of player names in a team sheet as per 5A
  • Incorrect team sheet formatting as per 5A
  • Any post in the squad submission thread notifying a squad change that did not occur as per 4A & 4B
Any suspended ban will be activated when, and in addition to, another penalty occurs within the same season.

As per usual, the Warriors have a right to appeal this sentence and have until 11.59 on 04/08 to do so.

NaturalDisaster first of all, thanks for undermining what I said earlier about your loyalty to the Warriors, that was good, secondly, you haven't responded to my complaint re: match thread start times.

Hello Dav

I agree with your concerns and will soundly whip sophomore DockerDen5215 into line.

There is a good reason I ask people not to post match threads before 7pm Monday evenings.

Cheers,

ND

How good is pedantry?
