SAAFL website

For those that don't currently know it, the SAAFL has commenced a website, at http://www.saafl.asn.au/ ... they reckon its only partly done though its already pretty bloomin' comprehensive!

Yeah Wedgie I was told by them that its a work in progress so they'll probably come through as time goes on.

How did you go tracking down that Mail Medal book?
Another great bit of reading I recently purchased was the Farmer Files, fantastic stuff, finished it in a day.

The Mail thingy book will have to wait for now ... I went to a suburban library here on Saturday and brought home 5 books of local history on country Vic towns ... Warrak/Mt Cole, Cope Cope, Cannie, Corack ... and on the Watchem-Corack FC (now part of Birchip-Watchem FC) ... so these are keeping me busy for the time being!

I had a look at the SAAFL website, and it looks good, and when they get it finished, it'll be a great site.

But, there's one question I have to ask, Cedars FC in the SAAFL. Are they a Lebenese club ?, thier uniform contains the colours of the Lebenese Flag (Red, White & Green), and the Cedar is the symbol of Lebanon (which is on the front of the Lebenese flag), so I was wondering if this is a club formed by Lebenese/Australians ?, or is it just a coincidence.

On the topic of amateur leagues - did anyone else notice that SA amateurs got an absolute pants-down caning from the Vic amateurs at Woodville Oval on Saturday?

Was the Weed playing? I didn't see his name mentioned.
