Only four rounds to go in the grade competition and the premiership table is getting very interesting.

1st Northern Districts 127.09 points
2nd Adelaide 119.47
3rd University 119.35
4th Kensington 118.21

5th Woodville 115.56*
6th Sturt 109.81*
7th West Torrens 107.89*
8th Southern Districts 104.90
9th Glenelg 94.87
10th Tea Tree Gully 82.87
11th East Torrens 75.09
12th Port Adelaide 74.73*
13th Prospect 51.19
* = still have the bye to come

Round 10 - Sat Jan 24 and 31
Southern Districts vs West Torrens (Bice Oval)
Tea Tree Gully vs Sturt (Pertaringa Oval)
Glenelg vs Adelaide (Glenelg Oval)
Northern Districts vs University (Salisbury Oval)
Kensington vs East Torrens (Parkinson Oval)
Woodville vs Prospect (Woodville Oval)

Southern Districts vs West Torrens and TTG vs Sturt are effectively knockout finals. I can't see either of those teams dropping this game and still making the finals. Last roll of the dice for the Bays. The Buffalos are in good form.

You'd expect Kensington and Woodville to prevail against lowly opposition. Match of the round at Salisbury Oval between the Jets and Uni. Northern Districts have been the surprise packets of the season. Helps that they've had Cosgrove for nearly every game.

All the state players are available this week but there is a Shield game the second week of the match.

Round 10 - Day 1
Southern Districts 10/152 vs West Torrens 3/51
West Torrens were 3/9 at one stage. No Putland so I can't see the Stingrays knocking them over.

Tea Tree Gully 10/226 vs Sturt
65 to Simon Stolcman. Huge run chase for the Blues next week. Drop the points here and they can kiss 2008/09 goodbye.

Glenelg 9/247 vs Adelaide
Typical Glenelg... bat the full day at 2.5 runs per over. Boring. Don't reckon it will be enough against the Buffalos either.

Northern Districts 10/251 vs University 0/8
Cosgrove 102, Manou 69 and f___ all from anyone else. Will be interesting to see the Redbacks XI. If Cooper stays you'd think Uni will get these runs.

Kensington 7/386 vs East Torrens
Loooong day for the Reds, who had the Browns at 4/53 at one stage. Aaron O'Brien 153 not out. 186 would probably be enough, let alone 386.

Woodville 3/117dec vs Prospect 10/85 and 0/9
Outright points brewing for the Peckers. Will be very handy for them given that they've still got the bye to come.

It was a brilliant innings by O'Brien and Cleary yesterday after a bit of a shaky start. Once they both got going it was going to be impossible to stop them. Sad thing for East Torrens was the amount of dropped catches. O'Brien never gave a chance, but Cleary was dropped 3 times (2 were basically sitters) and Pat Connelly who also made 50 odd was dropped 3 times (and again two were basically sitters).

I still find it interesting to see Northern Districts up the top, they've really only got a few run getters each week, and Cossie is generally one of them, but yet they still sit top. They've done well.

In the XXXX Gold Cup One Day competition. The semi finals were played last sunday. Glenelg defeated Sturt and Kensington defeated Northern Districts. The final for that game will be played at Adelaide Oval next Sunday beginning at 2:30pm.

Kensington looking for their 3rd OD flag in four years, will be hard to beat especially if all players are available. They'll be the goods come March as well, you'd have to say a Woodville/Kensington final be on the cards, would be disappointing if they meet in the semi-final.

No Redback players available for the XXXX Gold one day grand final. Shield game at the MCG. So the Browns may be without Klinger, Cleary and O'Brien, although Daniel Christian may have pinched the allrounder's position off O'Brien?

Glenelg at full strength, assuming Neil Rowe has got over a hamstring strain.

Makes it a very interesting tussle. Jason Donnelly to bowl the Bays to victory in a tight one.

i'm going to tip Kensington in this one - just to go against you Carl

should be a good game of cricket this one.

Round 10 - Day 2
West Torrens defeated Southern Districts. Passed their score of 152 about 5 down so pretty comfortable. Half century for West Thomas. Massive win for West Torrens, puts them back in the race for a top four spot. Southern Districts are gawn.

Sturt got the runs against TTG, finished at about 260 chasing 220. Keeps them in the finals mix, season over for TTG if it wasn't already.

Adelaide all out for 92 chasing Glenelg's 247... and it took them 85 overs! Surely the most boring day in the history of cricket, in any country, at any level. What is going on with the Glenelg pitch? Bays keep their slim finals hopes alive.

Jets stay on top, defeating University. Cosgrove took 3 wickets, Uni finished about 50 short of the Jets 251. Delmont and Adcock both missed out and Christian and Cooper were on Redbacks duty.

East Torrens fell about 250 runs short of Kensington's 7/386. With Adelaide and University both losing the Browns may have snuck into 2nd place. Handy to get a few hours rest for today's GF too.

Woodville beat Prospect outright. Massive win for them. they've still got the bye to come so they needed this result big time.

Kensington went down today, anyone got the full details?

Browns made 153 batting first. Apparently lost a wicket off the first ball of the game and only got worse from there! Allegretto 41, Schwerdt 40, Brinsley 25.

Bays were 2/22 at one stage but then cruised to victory. Alex Carey finished 64 not out and won the medal.

Connelly out LBW first ball of the game. Looked plumb. Connelly didn't look too happy though. But that's cricket.

Didn't quite live up to expectations this game. Typical slow limited overs game in SA Grade Cricket. The Semi-Final between Northern Districts and Kensington would have had to have been the best one in a long time. 263 vs 253 off 50 overs.

Another premiership decided on Sunday too: the Women's A Grade Twenty20 final. Port made 5/91 off their 20 (after being 0/70 off 14 overs). And Northern Districts got the runs in 14 Overs.

only a few more rounds to go now. Round 11 starts this weekend.

Apparently the covers were left on until 10:30ish out at Parkinson Oval. The Browns lost the toss and were almost rolled on sticky wicket against Port Adelaide.

shocking deck out at Bice saw Adelaide rolled for 108 after being 24/6. Dan Cullen and Luke Williams held the innings together. Southerns at stumps are 105/6.

Not a great pitch. Balls flying high, going underground, going normal, turning, decking, swinging. You name it - it had been done.

Disappointingly the Browns are playing Woodville and Northern Districts are playing Sturt. Tipping the Browns to come through with their state players back to meet Northern Districts in the GF.

I'm backing a Woodville vs Sturt grand final.

Reckon the Redbacks boys are pretty much over their season now and Manou and Cosgrove will need to sober up significantly to make a contribution. Cossie's mind already on his impending shift to Queensland, if rumours are true. Sturt to sneak past them in a close one. Five wickets to Ollie Thomas.

Woodville too strong at home. Play their ground well. Have the wood on the Browns after winning from an unwinnable position on the weekend (put on 30 for the last wicket!) Daniel Harris and Ken Skewes to spearhead the victory.

Having said that, apparently Kane Richardson got two right hand batsmen out lbw last weeekend whilst bowling around the wicket. Two of Andy Collins seven lbw's for the game. Is there a bigger ego in South Australian cricket circles? Or a worse umpire?

Kensington will have a fairly different top order come Saturday though in comparison to last week. Cleary, Klinger and O'Brien will push O'Loughlin, May and either Gilles, Allegreto or McNeil out. I'm tipping Allegreto but will probably be Gilles. They could even play the extra bat considering O'Brien and Cleary are both well above district all-rounder quality.

Northern Districts and Sturt will be hoping to play Woodville rather than the Browns, as everyone knows the finals record we hold.

Woodville rolled for 80 odd and Kensington rolled for 70 odd.

Watch Chad Sayers go interstate and forge out a successful first class career.

I think Woodville will get over the top of Jets, the Jets bowling still seems a little suspect. Woodville's bowling line up is much more dangerous and they have a steady batting line up with Harris, Page, Skewes, Wells etc.

Should be a great game, interesting location, thought Adelaide Oval was unavailable because of the construction? ahh well.

Also Gullies to win the B grade flag :thumbsu:
