congratulations on the last month of football, you guys are looking awesome and are my tip for the flag.well done and keep it up!.

In what is a very weak year as i stated here a fair while back you guys are the clear standouts, only you guys can stuff it from here cause i rewally don't see any team coming close, the tall forward structure looks awesome, the midfield is great and they use the ball so well, i hope u guys play the Eagles in sep cause you will thrash the ******** out of them.
Youre grand final is in week 1 away to Adel and only a wet sat night game gives them any chance, i really feel you guys have one hand on the cup and only you can lose it from here
good luck anyway

What a stupid, idiotic comment! "only you guys can lose it from here."

Clown. Anything can happen on any given day fool; injury, form, confidence, luck. To say a comment like 'if you guys don't win the Grand Final it's your own fault.. really irks me! Yes, we've played winning football in the past 5 weeks, but I have been following football (and StKilda) for long enough to know that one hand is never on the Premiership cup until the last quarter of the Grand Final! Not Round 19 in the Home and Away season, where we are currently 3rd!!

No doubt at all a full strength saints side with that forward structure is the team to beat from my point of view, i think that Geelong is the only team that can match up ok all around the ground but still i would think youre best may just be a tad in front of ours but geez it would be a great grand final if the two met, still alot of water to go under the bridge yet, maybe one of us will break this bloody drought and this is the year to do it i think!
Geelong didn't look like winning at all, so if they're the only team who can match it i'm scared how much other teams will get smashed by the Sainters. The second post was from a month or so ago but the first post i don't get what you mean by only you guys could lose it from now?

I see that supporters from other clubs are coming here to talk us up. It is interesting that when we were at our lowest ebb, similar people were criticizing us mercilessly, especially targeting Grant Thomas, and Sainters were level headed about it explaining that injuries and fitness were the main cause of our problems. Now that we are flying, opposition supporters again have their say - laying the expectation of a premiership upon us.

Now I dearly desire a premiership cup right now, but like myself, most Saints supporters are not going over the top. The lid is firmly in place.

I realise that at some time soon, the weight of expectation will have to be bourne, but at this stage of the season we can just play our own games and if we are lucky enough to make it - we will gladly carry the weight of Victorian pride on our shoulders.

Good post StKildonan except for the last bit aabout the victorian thing I am a full social club member as are my family and i live in sa and i dont care for the vic v sa thingy i am just a sainter thru and thru and i am keeping a lid on mate :)

I too am a full member as is my wife and three of my kids. We also are full social club members.
We live in Mackay Qld - quite a long way from Victoria.

I just accept that if there is a Victorian club in the GF - that team will probably be given support by most Victorians come the day.

I don't feel it here, but there is a sense of Interstate v Vic clubs coming through the boards at the moment.

Thanks - do I get some sort of award?

Woohoo - does this mean I'm a senior poster now?

Just had a look - I'm still just a Big Footy Member. How many do you need to become a veteran?
