does anyone know the figures for our salary cap?

ive been meaning to ask this for awhile...

i just cant understand how a team like ours can me maxed out!!!!!!!!

people like richo and bowden mite be on alot but they are on the veterans list

i know brown will be on abit as well as deledio but who else?

cotchin would still be cheap right now..

can anyone explain this to me? or is it just more bad list management and people like Schulz, pettifer, simmons way over paid?

alot of new players would only be on $100,000 if that

for example... how can carlton pay judd over 1 million a season, fev 700,000 a season, rob warnock 350.000 a season.... and still have people like gibbs, murphy, kruzer, stevens, thornton ect... and still have alot more room for when all 3 number 1 draft pics become better players and demand more money

easy :thumbsu:

Carlton pays them 200 k a year ... and Visy pays thier imaginery Aunt Maud 300 k a year :thumbsu:

I'm certain last year when Kerr's name was thrown about, someone from Richmond stated they had more than enough salary cap room for him?

Pretty sure this guy(bold) would be puttin' them back in the black as with CLOKE, O'HEILPIN, HOULILHAN, ect. (don't think Stevens would be on big $ either with Kruser who is only 2 year player) When if they become real good,I'm sure the "AFL" will scrutinise their payment structure again. History of payment cheating after all.

we re-signed him after the knee I believe.. so his bargaining power wouldn't have been that great... especially his form before the knee..
I'd say his contract is heavily performance based.

Performance based is just as bad if this makes sense.
Say if in the contract it says if Petts plays 18 games and kicks 40 goals he will get 350k but he is on 60k and will get a extra 40k for playing 5 games.
This would mean that we have to keep 350k free in the cap just in case he does it.

Despite being the only club that would take him we still managed to be pushed by Nixon to pay him handsomely. He is no bargain basement.
Vaguely recall a figure of $300,000 being mentioned in regards to Cuz. A risky investment to say the least. Very good deal for Cuz

Yep cant say Nixon doesnt know what hes doing whether you like him or not. (I dont). Probably convinced the club that Port Melbourne were offering 250,000.

Doesnt sound like he came to us on his hands and knees does it.

Hmm, putting duds like mcmahon on a 3 year 1 million dollar deal certainly doesn't help.

Dunno where you blokes get your numbers from. It's pretty well known that McMahon is on $275K and Cousins <$120K.
