Salim Hassan's been promoted

I would dearly love to see him run round for the Power but I hope it doesn't get to the stage where we need to use him as a back up. In any case he wouldn't take a backward step, just keep him from training with the main group!

Bring him in for Poults or Dew

I second this noble motion.

Unless he has been brought in truly for back up. If hes has been brought up to play, he is as ready and as in form as he ever will be.

Well, back up or not, he's now on the senior list. BOGs should get him a guernsey.

If Chris Hall can make the emergencies ...

Good point. I would even go as far as saying that Hassans SANFL form the past two seasons has been better than Halls by a fair margin.

far inferior players went in the draft before this bloke, but just because he's 21 and not 18!! (same logic applies to his midfield partner from 2003, Shane Tuck)

And Hassan's played in Darwin, so he probably has a few mates he could catch up with.

Symes went to Darwin as the travelling emergency. Just as he was recalled to Centrals league side.

The Symes decision seems a little strange considering he is unlikely too play up in Darwin. Just hope he isn't back in the 2's next week because of this decision.
IMO it woulda made more sense to have Salim travel with the team considering his lack of a competitive hitout, his NT connections and the fact that his form in the SANFL has been very good recently. Strange thinking from the club I feel.
Anyways good too see Salim rewarded for his hard work this year, let's hope he gets a chance to prove his worth. As long as he isn't replacing a key player mind you.
