Sam Newman's Comments last night

I know you guys dont give a toss about what Sam Newman says about the Adelaide Football Club but did you hear what he said to Eddie when they were about to discuss the Crows V Saints game.

He turned to Eddie and said twice something along the lines of

"Dont let Adelaide fool you Eddie, they are not that good"

What a stupid statement to make.

He then went on to tip Geelong to beat Melbourne. :eek:

Meh

I would be more worried , if I was a Port supporter, over Mark Williams definite ''Yes Warren will be our next captain'' or something similar, and not just for the next game... it seemed to be a comment for next year as well..
 
If I were a Saints fan I'd be really annoyed at the moment as Sam has a habbit of giving our opposition the kiss of death by tipping against us.

Very strange for a person who picked Adelaide to beat the coasters on their own dung heap where they have ruled for 2 years and then said they would be premiers.

I think the botox is affecting the grey matter.
 
I remember in '97 when he said he'd get a Crows tattoo on his ass if we won the flag. That never happened. And then in '98 when he said he'd quit all of his media work if we won the flag again. Funnily enough, that never happened either.

I loved Sam's comments, it was like deja vu.

The worst thing he could have done was proclaim we were any good and were going to win the flag.

He's done us a tremendous favour, a really great bloke.
 
Sam and Eddie are losers. Both there clubs are going nowere this year. All he did was fire up Adelaide against stkilda. im going for adelaide to win the flag, l recon thay can win it.

Eddies head is to big and sam has had to much plastic sergery. They woulnt have said much if chanel 9 was doing the game and they had to fly to adelaide and comentate it. they wouldve copped it all night long :D
 
As JB said on Any Given Sunday last weekend, if Sam could name any other player than Roo he'd be shocked.
 
I wish channel nine would seriously consider replacing the AFL footy show with the NRL one, the difference in class is amazing and the NRL one (even though I dont watch NRL games alot) is very entertaining.

Spot on.

I loved the Sunday Footy show in 97 after the GF when Sam was still giving the Crows s hit. McLeod just held up his Premiership medal and said "Sammy, have you got one of these".

Newman was very quiet after that.

I don't know about you guys, but if my team was top, playng in a final, and Sam didn't give us a chance, I'd be pretty happy about that. He's the worst judge of player and team ability in the entire football media.

I'm just amazed he even knew who was playing.

I know, but as acting captain he was just shocking wasn't he?

Booted 80 goals, was named AA CHF and Vice-Captain and lifted the cup ;)
 
Tredders tends to kick his goals against weak sides. Goes missing in the big ones. Will he get a kick Sunday?
Sam Newman strikes me as a seriously disturbed individual. Can it really all be an act?

Did not take them to seriously never do but time will tell if he is correct

Super effort last week and for the year but it all starts again at 7pm Saturday.
