Learning off Nick and Pendles will accelerate his development unbelievably.

Fingers crossed that Nick and Swaddles (?) can develop as an unstoppable tandem in the midfield.

Love his run and carry and his ability to nail targets on the run. He doesn't seem to blaze away with his kicking.

I can see him earning a starting spot next year.

I don't want to put a dampener on things, but not sure he is an elite kick. Believe his disposal efficiency is about 74% which is not bad. He does win a lot of footy though.

I think for a mid, if its 70% or more, its generally pretty good.

In any case, I'm very much an eye test kinda person when it comes to effective kicking. Looking forward to seeing Sam and the other recruits in action.

Both of these are correct. Definitely not an "elite kick" I think the social media person got a little bit excited. Perhaps a penetrating kick is better (can absolutely send the ball). His DE is helped by having a longer kick as well, but you're right that he can tend to bomb it a bit out of contests which is an improvement.

As I always say, there's a reason the kid is there at #37 and not top five. He fits a clear need, so can at least tick that box.
