Played in the reserves for the Ants last week, and apparently acquited himself quite well. Has given himself every opportunity to get onto the senior list, hoever, it may be touch and go at seasons end what the club decide to do with him. Might come down to deciding between him and Ackland.

With Acklands inclusion in the Blues team, Sammy will get a chance to do something good for the Ants. If Ackland get's a permanent gig in the Seniors, Jacobs will HAVE to lift. He needs to do/show something soon, for his own good.

I think that it is pretty safe to say that Ackland will not be on the senior list beyond this season.

With Ackland now in the seniors because of injuries to others, Sammy gets his chance in the Bullants seniors to show us what he's got and to see if he is worth persevering with.

If he shows enough to suggest that he could be a good player for us in time, then he should be elevated.

Our ruck stocks are still quite thin, especially with Ackland looking on the way out, so to get rid of a young ruckman showing promise would be detrimental.
