Sam's comments....

...are justified. You might dis-agree, but I thought what he had to say was what Melbourne needs to hear, and you certainly won't get it from Daniher or anyone else.

The last two weeks have been nothing short of pathetic, and our side really needs a good kick up the bum to get us going. I was dissapointed to see OX say "we will be right", as he says that all the time yet we don't go out and do it on the field. He should say that we have been down and that we are have realised that, and that this weekend we will go out there and show the world that we are the Demons, and that we won't play like crap again. They should show us that they mean business instead of playing soft football.

Don't get me wrong, I am not necessarily having a go at us, I am merely saying that what Sam said was right, and that we really need to lift out game dramatically if we are to play finals. And like Schwarta said, we need to be there to stick it up the Crows. Myself and BT are not foreign to doing that, and this week will be no exception (bar Armstrong! ). So get there, support the Dees and cheer hard - we need the support and the 4 points!!!

sammy

weeeeeell.... i guess it was needed to be said, but i didn't like the tone inwhich he said it (i listened way too much in english today! ). i dont think it was for him to have a go at schwarta, and what was schwarta to say? yeah we try our hardest but get nowhere??

anyways, i know most of it was true, i still dont think it was appropriate for sammy newman to say it the way he did...

He does it every time Schwarz is on TFS. It's sorta like the wrestling - a bit contrived.

I don't like Sam Newman, but I had to agree with him. We look soft. The supporters think that and I have told the coach that. Its not good enough and players like Mr Neitz have to get off their **** and do something.

Sam was spot on last night. We are soft, we need Schwarz to "do something", and he also had a shot at Neitz for not doing anything since about Round 5. I agree 100% with what Sam said last night.

As a Crows fan, I gotta say I did not like it one bit! :D Just what we didn't need was another public rocket from Sam, designed specifically to ridicule the Melbourne football club. The Dees were already going to be pumped for a big performance, the season kinda on the line, playing at home, a win desperately needed after 2 bad losses, and now Sam's comments are just gonna add further fuel to the fire...jeez, we seem to come up against a team with their backs to the wall every week! I guess it'll be as big a test for Adelaide as it will be for Melbourne...

The person I think has really no excuse is our captain!! He has kicked, what, 4 goals in the last 5 games after such a great start! For someone of his size and ability, he should dominate most games......but, no, he drops his marks and get's nowhere near it.

Stick him at CHF, put Ox down to FullForward and let him use his strength from the square. At least try something different DANIHER!!!!

lol, sorry ant! but hey, hopefully both teams will go out there pumped and up for a big game, and it can just be enjoyable... more so for us tho! but really, i dont think that what sam said will effect the whole team... they're not gonna go out there and win just to shut sam up. but i hope they win for themselves and us!! :D

yeah exactly! it may get our guys pumped, it may not, but even if it does they will not win or lose the game because of sam's comments!

I hate to say it, but Ox deserves to be dropped, but I can't be bothered going into why right now.

Nah, i reckon a game or two in the twos is a good idea for him to assess his position at the club, and if he feels he wants to have another go, great. If not then the time's come. He's still a champion no matter what he does (except not play good football)

Make sense?
