I have seen all theese big dishes in Peoples yards,
What TV are they getting?
Whats it cost to set up?
Is it FTA ?

My family just got one of them big dish and is currently calibrating it to capture the tv he wants. You can get all sort of tv channels from all over the world. So far my dad has only managed to capture a whole bunch of Indian TV and Saudi Arabian TV.:thumbsd: We don't even know what they're saying..

Let us know what good shows he gets
Does it pick up movies in English?
Does it pick up European Movies ?
Doesit pick up live feed of Australian TV ?
Does it pick up AFl via Foxtel Via Asian Satelite stations ?
What did it cost to set up?
Does he have to keep shifting the Dish position?

We have one for my parents to watch Asian channels, mainly Chinese. Nothing too interesting for me personally, as I don't understand it.

We have one that turns the satelite automatically to face whatever satelite they want to watch a channel on.

If i was you, i wouldn't bother. Indian and Chinese channels.

You can buy a FTA satellite set up for about 400 bucks that will pick up aussie channels off the optus sat. You can get various dish sizes, tho the most popular is the 68cm variety. Pretty popular with grey nomads/caravanners.

I've got one set up at home myself, mainly so i can get central 7 which allows me to watch friday night footy at 630pm instead of 830. That's more of an advantage to WA viewers tho given the time zone changes etc.

If you have the right card you will be able to get WA WIN and GWN as well which may let you watch the odd game thats not available on your local FTA

That was my thinking being in Qld I get Friday night footy at 11.30
So I would love to pick up either Vic or Wa or SA feed
Also good for Sunday Morning AFL and 10 Before the Game
