Re: Round 4 trades

I'll post the first trade.

Contemplating:

Roo>Rioli
Tippett>Sandilands

Looks sound on paper, thoughts?
Huge upside and Rioli seems a good choice at that range. His OP is my only worry...like Chappy's hammys or groin or whatever it is...in a game where you lose and gain your ranking at the end of the year with trades or lack thereof..im not touching them. Like eski and Drummo..they're high risk/high reward players..although the bloody eski decision could come back to haunt me :eek:

Re: Round 4 trades

I've already traded Roo to Brown and am thinking Tippett to Reimers. Thoughts?

As much as I love reimers (is a gun) dont think thats a good trade. He can be a good scorer but is a little inconsistant and theres the question of job security. The other week against freo is a good example no1 expected him to get dropped but still did.

Re: Kosi

normally i would not touch him with a 10 foot pole BUT watching ''one week at a time'' had me thinking. With Roo going down Kosi will be the main target now. they mentioned a patch in 08 (i think) where Roo was out for 4 games and Kosi really stepped up. I can't remember these games at all but would be interested to hear from people that do.

For those that don''t know he is coming back from 2 weeks suspension. he scored 55 in rd 1 against sydney. he costs 402k. i see Kosi as being a real unique selection.

I know, i know.... he is way too injury prone.... i'm thinking about bringing him in for Dangerfield. my brain is screaming DON''T DO IT!!! DON'T DO IT!!!

Re: Round 4 trades

re Dangerfield;

Adelaide Football Clubs facebook update: Patrick has had a CT Scan and been cleared of any neck fractures, so that's good news. He will stay overnight in hospital and have further scans tomorrow.

from the Crows board, so no real timeframe for those who have him yet.

SC aside, i hope he makes a quick recovery,.

Re: Round 4 trades

Which one of these three should I trade for Roo:

ROK, Pavlich, or Harvey

It's a big dilemma as I have Goodes already in my forward line, Harvey brings extra $$, but still thinking O'keefe or Pavlich as the two. Any thoughts much appreciated thanks..

Re: Round 4 trades

Am tempted by Rockliff as well, not sure how secure his spot is though.

Have a Roo to Brown, Tippett to Rockliff trade on my mind this week.

The following week can upgrade Lewis Jetta to Ablett with 1 trade (currently have 430k in the bank).

Just worried about Rockliff holding his spot for an extended period of time as he would be my starting 7th forward with these trades.

Re: Round 4 trades

Riewoldt -> J. Brown
L. Ball --upgrade-> Judd

will still have around 50k in the bank after this

Who would you suggest for around $400k?

very nice, you must have cash all over the place.

I'm thinking

Roo > Pav
Boak > Judd (depending how Judd goes first. if he's going to drop i'll wiat :p)

You can't go wrong with all three [I have all 3], but ROK is more dangerous..

Who are you 8th and 9th forward? Your 8th and 9th forward should at least get games otherwise risky as Rockliff came in for Brennan and the 40 possies 5 goals didn't hurt...just be wary...If it's Peterson/Gumbleton then maybe worth the risk..if no cover..just be wary

Riewoldt -> J. Brown
L. Ball --upgrade-> Judd

Gumbleton and Hitchcock are my 8th and 9th. Not sold on Hitchy holding his spot for much longer with Gray and Motlop on the horizon but Gumby looks at least best 22 barring injury.

May hold off on the Tippett trade for now and see how it pans out next week as his and Rockliffs prices are going nowhere yet.

Re: Round 4 trades

For those looking to bring in Pavlich this round how do you think his going to go against St.Kilda at Ethiad?

For me its Roo to Chapman or Pavlich + 80K, going for overall. Was leaning towards Chapman becuase he has an easy run coming up but his injury prone history scares me. (p.s im going for overall not league win).

Roo to Brown would be Okay, I would hold on Ball to Judd for a few weeks as it will be three rounds minimum before Judd goes up (or down). Ball may have turned the corner on friday? Worst case scenario he sucks for a few weeks and then bring in Judd.

Trading a potential premium for another premium in rond 3 could hurt you come round 20 if you cop injuries like those that have occured this week.

That's a good idea as you never know Rockliff could be dropped...Problem is if you need his score this round (in Tippett's absence), then you might need to trade now....

50/50

Re: Round 4 trades

Hmm with Roo and Danger injured I've got a massive dilemma. I've already got Brown, ROK and Harvey. I'm considering ROO + Danger out for Higgins + Rioli. Just worried about Rioli's injuries and inconsistency really. Just don't know about him, he has alot of X-factor and will have big scores but he's not the most consistent scorer out there. Not many options around the 400k mark though. I've got around $970,000 to spend after trading Danger and Riewoldt out. I think I can afford Pav+Rioli even.

Re: Round 4 trades

By the way apparently Dangerfield, if he pulls up ok in the next day or two could be a chance this week. More likely he might miss a week but keep that in mind as some might not want to trade him. He's been cleared of any spinal damage its just a neck strain I think or something so he could come good this week.

Re: Round 4 trades

I've considered the Higgins v Pavlich trade.

Higgins plays alot in the midfield in a winning team so is sure to get plenty of the ball. He had an injury last year so hopefully his is 100% over it.

Ah decisions! Its tough!

Re: Round 4 trades

Hold off Judd for at least this week - his bogey team is Adelaide... Also i'm in the Danger dillema as well and I can afford Rioli, but don't know if I should pick up Rockliff
