for all you leavers. the end is around the corner and a time of getting ****ing loose is near. where are we all heading?

have byron set up for week one. joint is about 60m from the beach and 500m from the main strip of shops

for those who have been to byron. can you list some of the stuff there and places for nightlife? and food places?
 
im going to byron for a week in september, its pretty quiet, solid beach, laidback sorta people. i like it for a chillax holiday, but am going to surfers for schoolies.

Went to Byron last year for schoolies was an awesome time, can't remember all of the bars but there is the beach, cheeky monkeys and then another 2 places that I can remember, plus the rails which is more for older people. The only food place you need to know is Byron Bay Kebabs. Also take a trip into Nimbin.
 
Should be banned in my opinion...
 
Nimbin = the shittiest bush version of Amsterdam you could imagine

Nice scenery, shame about the hippies

I went to Byron for my Schoolies. Smart choice, mostly friendly, not many ****wits.

Check out lala land in Byron for night life for top 40 electro, that's pretty much the only actual club there.

I did not go to schoolies, despite living in Brisbane at the time, but I can category say that the Gold Coast is a shit hole.
 
Plenty of money to be made if you're down in Surfers for Schoolies.

I mean... it's not entirely legal, but if you buy alcohol/smokes for the minors they usually give you a fair commission.

Schoolies 2004. Best time of my life. Plenty of chicks, plenty of alcohol, plenty of stories to share for the rest of my life.

No way should schoolies be banned.
 
Went to schoolies back in 2005. Spent a week at the Gold Coast and a week at Byron Bay. Byron Bay was definitely the better of the two. As others have mentioned it is much more relaxed atmosphere. Just beware of the main hotel on the beach there if you are underage. I had my fake ID taken (fortunately it was our last night of schoolies).

So many highlights
- Getting our clothes stolen while skinny dipping and having to walk the 500m back to where we staying in the nude. (The girls become very shy all of a sudden)
- The drive up there. Stopping the first night at some random town (Parkes?). Going to the RSL for a quiet dinner only for the bloke at the door to tell us there was a strip show upstairs. My mate and I proceeded to take a stripper each back to our dingy highway accommodation and have our way with them. Him without protection.
- Bouncer at la la telling me when I tried to use a new ID on the last night of a 26 year old with a beard (I was a skinny clean shaved indie kid with a fringe) that he knew it wasn't me but come in anyway.
- On arriving at our accommodation in Byron the girls next door come round to welcome us and one sits up on the kitchen bench legs spread, no underwear. :eek: Then asking me if she could see upstairs :D
- Best mate chalking up a century (10 points sex, 5 HJ, 1 kiss, no double ups) on the last night.
- Same mate calling his girlfriend while laying naked in bed with a girl.
- Jar Jams at cocojumbos (?) :D
- Table dancing at cheeky monkeys (chunky monkeys?)
- Stealing the flag from the 18th green at the Byron Bay golf club.
- One of the boys doing a shit in the same 18th hole. :confused:
- Kebabs for breakfast
- Having sex while watching the sunrise at the most eastern point of Australia. :thumbsu:
 
I would highly recommend to anyway in SA to go to Schoolies at Victor Harbour :thumbsu: I went last year and would probably consider it to be the best time of my life. It was just sooo much fun, besides the cold weather...
 
Going to go the first 3 nights in Surfers then head to Bali for a surf trip for the next 8 days. Surf wont be fantastic in November but good enough. Went to schoolies last year with a couple of mates that finished last year. Was awesome, bloody fantastic. Going to do something different this year. First weekend is the best anyway.
 
Headed to Bali in December with about 10 mates as they will be more relaxed towards the end of schoolies. A few other mates are going down to Mandurah before we go so I will head down there for a couple of days.
 
We should have a schoolies for old people like me. I suppose it would just turn into some shitty swingers party.

Your schoolies sounds a lot more fun than mine. I just got shitfaced every night and did ****** activites until 5am.

Schoolies is what you make of it. Get full of dutch courage and do everything/anyone in sight.

Very impressive Surkin but I watched Rambo with Jason Davenport and Gary Ablett Jnr on my schoolies.... **** that, yours sounded much better.
