Cue those of you who have written Sarge off. I respect your opinions but don't agree.
Before this year I had doubts but he looks to me to have matured enough (physically and mentally) to be part of the group for a few more years.
Now, he was tried for a number of years from the goal-square standing next to Richo and we all know that went poorly. Getting in each others way or being ignored on his leads as everything went via Cape Richardson!
This year most would agree that he has not looked out of place in the back-line. Good attack on the ball, providing an option going forward and pretty good pressure on the man. His field kicking is also good and he has penetration without risking hitting the roof of the TD.
We have had a massive hole at CHF for years now. Part of the reason that we often go forward via the pie & choc-top carts in the stands is that we are terrified to go through the guts and hit our version of The Bermuda Triangle at CHF.
So I throw it out there friends... Sarge to hold down CHF.
