Opinions on who won this trade?
Long term we won due to Schulz's age but for the next 2-3 years who wins? Who is the better player?

Win - Win.

We get a key forward capable of kicking a fair few goals a game (kicked 5 again today) which gives us an opportunity to grow our future Key Forwards of Butcher/Stewart/Webb/Redden.

You guys get a great player who will be a key to your next premiership team.

Win-Win
Schulz would be playing 2's every week at Richmond. By letting him go, we got the small back pocket player we needed (time will tell if he is up to the required level) and a handy player in Ben Nason.
Port got Schultz who has given them structure with no Tredrea and has kicked a fair few goals..
If we had the chance to do this deal again at the end of the season, I think all parties would gladly accept.

seeing as we are all lovey dovey with port & given them really usefull players in rodan & schulz i would suggest another trade !

polo + 3rd pick for boak
nahas + 2nd pick for trengove
mcmahon for our 3rd pick back
tambling for our 2nd pick back

At the end of the day although IMO Mitch farmer has vindicated us recruiting him, I can say this that without a doubt if the Sarge was in our FL this year and produced the form improvement that he has at Port, we would be in the 8 as we speak, taking into account the rise of JR at FF. ;)

:)GOOD in theory, but I'm pretty sure Schulz needed a fresh start, away from Punt Road. Had his time. Was always capable but never seemed to live up to the hype. Not soi sure he would have improved at Tigerland.
Equally, Farmer has benefitted from a fresh start!!

Anyone think that Schulz and JR would have commanded the same space? Both need the 30/40 to themselves to dominate defences.

Not disputing any of that dude...its more to do with the "if" the Sarge was to hit his current form in our line up.
Its all water under the bridge now anyway. ;)

Yeah was talking to some mates about this last night. I dont think it would have worked at all. Jack and Sarge both play that deep forward role. If anything we probably wouldnt have seen the rise of Jack as quick.

Good trade for both clubs. Hopefully we see more of these trades in future trade weeks.

Win win.

I hate seeing some players that leave playing well at other clubs like Ottens and Peterson but i love seeing guys like Sarge and Rodan playing well. Getting a second chance and taking it.

Pretty hilarious that it's now considered a win win after supporters from both our clubs were saying it was a lose lose situation halfway/early through the year.

Schulz has been fantastic in the second half of the year, certainly exceeded my expectations. Have seen a bit of Farmer this year and his pace is pretty valuable and his disposal has improved alot since the beginning of this year.
