I am not his greatest fan, although I thought his handling of the Tasmanian siren debacle was first class. However I think that his claiming of the club as a heavyweight financially and highlighting all (in his opinion) his administration's achievements is better left behind closed doors. He claimed that all Freo had to do was get it right on the field now.
IMO praising the admin and pointing at the playing group was a mistake.
The fact is that we have a 55% (42 wins 34 losses) winning record in the last 3 and a half seasons and have won 12 of our last 18 AFL matches in more recent times. Going that next step is going to be very difficult and can be better aided by keeping these comments in house.
He has done alright this year that aside and I see he just got an extension.
