i rekon heath scotland is quiet under rated and usually on our board i never hear his name mentioned. he desearves some credit and he is pritty underated at cartlon i rekon. he shows courage by dropin back into packs hes got a beautifull kick and gives good run off half back

Reckon he's under-rated by most outside the Carlton Footy Club. Does a huge amount of work in the backline, and his kicking skills are just fantastic.

He's a good player, but some accountability wouldn't go astray when playing defence.

I dont think Scotland is under-rated by Carlton supporters, I certainly rate him as a critical player for us. I think its more to do with the fact that supporters dont always find time to praise every player when you're losing so often.

With Scotland being one of our only senior players, I think we just expect him to be at the stage of his career when he does what is required of him, and thus we don't have to pay as much attention to him, as the younger guys who are up and down.

He's always been my favourite of that large group of retreads we picked up for 2004 season.

He is among our best ball users, runs hard all day and would never consider shirking a contest...and he's Bear's buddy!

I hardly think he's underrated, at least not by Carlton supporters.

Interesting to note that he is no longer the only player on our list to have played in back to back grand finals

Scotland needs to break the lines more. Too often he stops and circles back and then kicks sideways or backwards. Same goes for Houlihan. Although saying that, Hoops had his best and most consistant year by far in 2007.

That 'w***erish' you're referring to comes from his time at Collingwood, Give it another few seasons and it should be gone for good!

Heath Scotland plays a very similer role to what a Quarterback plays in the NFL. He recieves the ball behind the play and then sets up the play by sending it forward with accurate passing.

In NFL a Quarterback is considered to be the most important position requireing a teams best player to fill it.

In AFL we accuse players like Scotland of being soft and picking up cheap, easy posessions.

Personally I think Scotland is a very good player, who does his job very well.

The AFL is very different to NFL and so I think that AFL supporters prefer the type of players that are tough and can get their own ball and thats why people like Judd and Murphy are so much higher on peoples adoration list.

However the sweeper role in AFL is still very important to the game and I think that Scotland does this very well.

Great player who has been fantastic in some of our darkest hours. Carries the ball and uses it really well. Have seen him do some special things gathering the ball, marking it and is easily one of the best deliverers of the ball in our team.

Think he is a fantastic get for Carlton and always feel confident when the ball is in his hands. Doesn't get talked up that much because he always does his job and does it well with out having to put hundreds and thousands on it to get noticed.

We will have a great running brigade with heath, walker, judd, simpson, stevens delivering into the forward line and along with Gibbs, Murph, Carrazzo and Waite kicking long goals from 50 meters out which is what we should be doing.

Scotland seems to always put in 100%. Great player to have on our team and doesn't get enough recognition i dont believe.

It's hard to talk about Scoto with all thats been happening. And he has been mentioned in a fair few threads lately.

One area of his game which seems to be go unnoticed is his ability to cut off forward attacks. He took many courageous and saving marks in defense this season, much more so than he has in previous years.
