How well have things worked out for Burnsy. We all expected him to come back as Bucks assistant, but looks like he can now write his own cheque for Adelaide, Melbourne, and probably Saints or Bulldogs as well for senior coach.

Imagine if Bucks was still in the market, be able to pick up an easy million a year from someone

Imagine how badly all those clubs would love either Mick or Bucks. And we've got them both. :D

I'm so proud of Burnsy i cant name to many Collingwood people who have coached teams that arnt Collingwood.
Not too many recently, but Mark Williams is the one that springs to mind, although he wasn't completely a "Collingwood person".

We may also lose Neeld to Adelaide it seems.:(

Good on Burnsy, would have loved to have him as an assistant but he obviously has head coach aspirations as he damn well should! Very happy for him.

To be perfectly honest, when we signed Buckley back in 2009, my first thought was how good a coach I thought Burns would make (particularly after hearing him talk multiple times on SEN), and I even thought that maybe down the line will may end up having wished to have signed Burns to that contract instead.

I'm sure Bucks will do fine, but I am very interested to see how Burnsy does. Very insightful man.

Big fan of Burnsy. I was once his neighbour along with Lee Walker (amazing bloke).

Scott Burns is a genuinely down to earth guy. He and Lee Walker always had time for me and my younger brother, to the point where we used to play kick to kick with them.

Will be a great coach.

Love to see Scott Burns coaching Adelaide. Great fit for them being ex SA but with a long career outside of Adelaide. Always loved him as a player.

I don't think Burns would return to work as an assistant under Bucks.

Hid in Bucks shadows for his entire playing career, I think we all know Burns is capable and determined to make his own mark somewhere.

Good luck to him.

I also thought this way - "Good luck to him" - about Rowdy when he moved off to the enemy.

But it was unsettling to see him in a navy blue polo early on this year, and I don't think I'll ever get used to it.

At least Adelaide aren't the dark side, I suppose.

I spoke to a west coast player last year who raved about him. they absolutely love him over their.

I wuold love to see him coach us one day. He will be a great coach

I would personally hope to see Burns as the backup option should for whatever reason it go south for Buckley. I expect he'll be a quality coach, through nothing else other than hearing him speak a few times for an a hour on SEN. I just quite like the way he puts forward his ideas and opinions.

I'm not sure he'll get used to it either. :p
