I admit I have been on his case for a while, but I feel he is just not giving it 100% or fitting in with the side. If we are really moving forward, he should not be in our best 22. Jericho, Bock, Van Berlo and Watts are in the wings and need a go, there is no question.

Fit and firing he is one of the best medium forwards in the comp and most certainly in our best 18. However, when he is off the boil he is as useless as **** on the bull.

If he is out of form then drop him. Bring in one of the youngsters. Jericho or Watts.

Well, the bull's got about 7 **** on it at the moment. ;)

Stiffy, Welsh has had a very ordinary year so far. He definitely deserves to be sent to Westies on his form to date.

I don't disagree.

He needs to be dropped. In fact he needed to be dropped this week.

If one of Jericho, Mark Stevens or Watts have a good game on the weekend then one of them needs to be brought in for Welsh.

Couldn't agree more, NC tried every forward combination possible - every player in the midfield and defense tried hard and attacked the ball, but the forward line (thommo the exception) looked to be a different combination out of sync with everyone else - must have been very frustrating for their team mates

Can guarantee that will happen.

Stiffy tore a calf muscle and we need 2 of these 3 to be given a shot - can't do any worse and NC must now send a message!

You sure? - Radio said a calf?

It definitely looked like he copped a kick in the shins on the TV.

Dr Larkins called the injury as that as well, so more than likely it was the shin that got kicked.

That's where he had the ice after the game.

At the post match function Tyson Edwards said that Stiffy had rolled his ankle but should be alright for next week. Then made some comment about the fact he was going to have a bad night's sleep as you have to get up and change the ice every 2 hours.

I feel for Welsh, he is defginately fighting out of his division. What's the point of bringing in M Stevens - how is that enhancing our rebuilding?? A really poor decision by the AFC last year not to delist one of ( or both ) of Stevo and Begley and have a crack at youngster in the PS draft.

Not quite fair

Stevens was important to our team structure, so that we could have kids in around him.

Sadly been out of form, but we could have really done with his type of player last night.

The successful introduction of Meeson IMO would be helped greatly with Steven standing under the pack and being the focus.

Begley is still young and again IMO has a lot to offer the Crows long term ;)

Your right, Steveo was important to our team structure, back in 2002?? Unfortunately, age and injury has caught up with him. I would only bring Steveo in, if either Messon or Watts are brought in too.

Begley - he's 25 this year, this is as good as it gets. Will be retained for depth.

Don't disagree but currently he's not in very good form, and I'm not sure where Craig sees his role
