Yeh that's what I thought after watching it. Sure killing him is a pretty big punishment, but jeez, make him earn it.

Best thriller film ever?

i think its certainly up there...Pitt and Freeman are superb and the ending is great.

Silence of the Lambs: Best thriller ever.

Se7en comes second to that in my book.

Come now, surely you are joking or haven't seen any films made before 1990.

It's a good film, but doesn't hold a candle to so many good thrillers such as Les Diaboliques http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0046911/ or The Vanishing http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0096163/ or many others

As others have said, good movie but not the best.

I actually didnt see it until about 2003 I thought it was brilliant.
