just wondering what eagles fans thoughts are on this guy....with gardiner back (even though they have said he wont ruck that much) do u think he will get more or less game time, and will he be a big improver this year?

Seaby should still play a majority of the games this season as i think Gardy should stay in the Forward 50 while having Seaby as back-up ruckman to Coxxy would be good.

i think there is room for our 3 ruckmen in the 22 because mark is very good at going forward and kicking a goal.

im not sure he is going to be hugely improved next year. i dont think he is going to get an overly big chance to impress unless cox or gardiner get injured.

well, he was a late bloomer (as most ruckmen are) and is really starting to hit his straps at age 21. he was our rookie of the year last in a year we uncovered and debuted 8 others including about 4 other really promising kids. can mark overhead, can drift forward and kick goals and is a really good ruckman. hes a fine number 1 ruckman, which makes him an awesome number 2.

chances are he'll play every game, backing up big cox and gardy

ahhh I remember Karl Langdon on 6PR last year.. before Seaby had made his debut saying Seaby will be a better ruckman than Aaron Sandilands at Freo. and he can mark Well he is already better than Sandilands and I tell you what... the way he went against the Kangaroos he could be anything. So impressed with his ruckwork.

I think that's spot on actually.

Seabs is a genuine, bona fide gun ruckman in the making, he has all the really good signs in his game. Directs his taps beautifully, very athletic, great contested mark and good goal sense. Very much like a young Gardiner.
