90yo, a good innings. But always too soon for such a great.

So sad to see one of the best actors pass. Also the quintessential Bond along with Roger.

how good was he in Indiana Jones!

Didn't realise he was 90.

Farewell to one of the most commanding actors on the silver screen.
Just watch the Hunt for red October last week and he’s awesome in it.

The bond films go without saying and at least watch Indiana Jones films he was in once a year.

Farewell to one of the greats of cinema.
Not just Bond, he made almost every movie he was in amazing.

I'll never forget him as Henry Jones Sr, he was fantastic.

I was hoping there'd be some love for Highlander here.

One of the least convincing 1000 year old Eqyptian/Spandiards you will ever meet but you just couldn't care less, he was always so watchable no matter what role he was meant to be playing. RIP Mr Connery.

Haha. Him playing alongside a Frenchman trying to be a Scottish highlander was one of the funnier actor pairings in a decade that saw more than its fair share.

Balance.
RIP you Spanish peacock.

Yesh indeed...

First movie I can remember Sean Connery in was a movie probably very few know about - an Irish-American movie about leprechauns and banshees and an evil-looking death coach that came from the sky with a headless driver (this is a 1959 Disney film!). Darby O'Gill and the Little People. I was probably 5 when I first saw it.

To balance out the horror of a 29 year old Sean Connery singing

here's the stuff I remember the movie for

Headless and Disney will always be Ichabod for me, a childhood memory of my own (and probably a million other kids), but if you want another reason to remember Janet Munro I'll happily recommend The Day the Earth Caught Fire (1961) a british Sci-Fi that's not great but ain't bad either. Leo McKern chews scenery and there's even a super brief cameo by Michael Kaine... Nothing by Sean Connery more's the shame.

I grew up during Roger Moore’s Bond era but I will always love the Connery films the most. He was the perfect Bond.

RIP Mr Connery.

I loved The Man Who Would Be King most of all, the chemistry between Connery and Caine is second to none - both named it as their favourite film of all the ones they were in.

Of course the first and best James Bond (although Daniel Craig does give some competition) and one of the biggest stars from the 1960s to 1980s.

The best James Bond. Brilliant in the Highlander movies, Indiana Jones, Red October.

Let's not mention Zardoz lol.
