Trying to buy time while they attempt to get teams in before the end of the next year.

If they don't they lose their precious 3 division model.

Pakenham has already shown their hand. They just need to decide it's Southern instead of the dream of being a suburb playing in west gippy and they are gone this year or next

Kinglake want out, and has been accepted elsewhere. They are holding them for twelve months because why ?? Because they lose their "model".

Narre Warren's greatest rival in this comp is when they get told to bring mouthguards at training on a Tuesday and the guys not getting picked to play Seniors get a bit Fiesty.

What is community footy without rivalry (Wandin v Woori.. 2 of the last 3 weeks has been the perfect example, people from opposing clubs on here saying how great it was to watch)

NARRE ARE OUT, AND IF YOU LISTEN CLOSELY ENOUGH ITS NOT IF, ITS JUST WHERE AND WHEN. IF THEY WEREN'T SO CONNECTED TO THEIR NETBALL ITS ALREADY HAPPENED.

This started in 2018 as an opportunistic money grab and has been an absolute shit-show ever since. The league has spent 4 years trying to keep its head above water as the clubs they bent over backwards to get in have one by one said they are out.

Admit you got it wrong. Fix it now.

OE are not going to get enough teams in to replace the ones that want out, so they need to get the idea of retaining a three-tier system out of their heads.

Hallam's move is bizarre given that both the Southern and Eastern leagues are more beneficial to them geographically and the fact they can find their true competitive level, even if it is the fourth of fifth tier.

Travelling an hour each way to Kinglake and even longer to Alex, Broady and Yea will harm Hallam much more than their other playing options.

Hallam will never play these teams Its part of the agreement.

ChristianBoy hence why they need 3 divisions as the league makes these promises and arrangements 🤦‍♂️
Don’t worry about the rest of the already established clubs

Will they relegate Belgrave after two years of poor performances?

Will they promote Powelltown?

What is the plan and how can clubs future plan with the league chopping and changing to accomadate outside clubs.

Staggering decision by Hallam. They have deliberately selected the worst of 3 options for themselves geographically. They are already a minnow in that area when it comes to recruiting, This will only make it harder. Would love to hear their reasoning.

Offered a pretty good deal. Can't be relegated and start in Div 1. Probably a finacial sweetner as well.

This has all the components for an utter disaster on the FL Titanic's part.

Hallam have wallowed around the lower reaches of the Southern league for a reason.

The league will not be three-tiered for too long (unless 4 is an acceptable number for them) so their promise to avoid the Alexandras, Broadfords and Yeas will be hollow.

And if one or more of these three clubs are promoted and play in Hallam's division, the travel will soon have them wishing they were playing the likes of Keysborough, Lyndhurst, Scoresby or Ferntree Gully instead.

I'd hate to be in charge of recruiting at Hallam ... tempting prospective recruits with hour-long trips each way to Yarra Glen, Healesville, Powelltown and potentially bung in a similar distance to Seville depending on the GF result.

Is there even relegation and promotion anymore? Or is just at the leagues convenience that you get punted.

I think the league should work on expanding and recruiting but they will need a model that is transparent and benefits existing/original clubs as much as new ones.

My thoughts are 2 leagues on proximity then a premier comp for promition upon application.

YARRA VALLEY
Healesville
Yarra glen
Mt evelyn
Yarra junction
Seville
Powelltown
Warburton

* furthest drive yarra glen to warburton
(40 mins)

* look to recruit the likes of coldstream, mt lilydale and silvan.

DANDENONG RANGES
Hallam
Gembrook
Emerald
Belgrave
Berwick springs
Officer
Monbulk

* furthest drive hallam to gembrook
(35 - 40 mins)

* look to recruit doveton, hampton park, narre saints, endeavour hills, south belgrave, upper gully.

* also after the success of berwick springs why not put time and money into junior clubs like narre foxes, fountain gate, cardinia cougars to eventually have seniors. This will then lessen the talent pool for narre, pakky etc. And bring them back down a touch.

PREMIER
Narre warren
Pakenham
Woori yallock
Wandin
Upwey
Olinda

* have to be prepared to drive a touch further for premier standard.

- Kinglake to nfl. Alex, yea and broadford team up with bonnie doon etc. Just not compatible.

The league would have very little chance of getting Coldstream (very happy there and EFNL is a positive point of difference for recruitment), Doveton, Hampton Park (don't want to play against the old SEFL clubs), South Belgrave (now in the second tier of the EFNL) or Upper FTG.

Silvan maybe.

Not sure on Endeavour Hills and Narre Saints (SFNL and EFNL better geographic fits) or Mt Lilydale.

Mt Evelyn is not an impossibility for the EFNL.

Alexandra could really only go to Kyabram District or Heathcote District but travel is an issue for both despite being the closest leagues. Yea and Broadford ditto. Bonnie Doon playing off in Ovens & King GF this weekend so they wouldn't be entertaining a move you'd think.

The best thing travel-wise for Alex, Yea, Broady and Bonnie Doon would be for the Waranga-North East league to reform after almost 45 years in recess but former clubs Seymour and Euroa (now Goulburn Valley) and Avenel (now Kyabram District) would be out of consideration. Longwood would probably consider it.

No chance of Coldy joining this league. Or Silvan or Sth Begrave.

What is going on in this league, cant say Ive kept up to date with everything but saw a article about Kinglakes move to NFL blocked by the board but also no application to leave has been lodged by Kinglake? What?

Also no teams have applied to be promoted or relegated next for next season. Since when does the bottom side or premier apply to change division?

OEFL says Kinglake hasn’t submitted any request to move leagues.

Also they are a recent signatory to League constitution which says they must provide 12 months notice of intention to leave league.

Hallam have applied to enter OEFL Div 1. They will partner with Berwick North JFC and an existing netball club.
Bunk, which Netball Club?
