What a waste. I am completely gutted. I cannot remember the last time I seen Richmond play and was this disappointed afterwards. Words cannot even begin to describe how absolutely filthy I am with the Richmond Football Club at this time. I sat with a bunch of mates who barrack for the Saints. They spent the entire second half giggling at Richmond's mistakes. This from St.Kilda supporters. What a ****ing embarassment.

From where I sit the major difference between Richmond and St Kilda is that St Kilda aren't afraid to give their young blokes a go! I expect Spud will try to put the usual positive spin on this defeat. Be interesting to hear what he has to say this Tuesday night on Talking Footy! Spud probably looked at the fixture and thought, "Yeah, the Tuesday night after we flog the Saints would be a pretty good time to front up on Talking Footy. Shouldn't be copping any heat or flak that week"

The Richmond boys musn't be real bright. We've known all week that they were going to flood and we still bombed it down their throats. Feel like we've just gone backwards five years. The Tiges are just treading water hoping Richo, Hall, Hilton, and Cameron will be back soon. You have to make changes after a defeat like that but I don't know who it will be. It was definitely an even team effort. Expect however the young blokes will once again be held responsible and duly rotated thru the magoos. Unfortunately the likely candidates are most likely to come from Newman, Krakouer, Rodan, Ednie etc. When are we going to bite the bullet and give these blokes 4 quarters.

Duncan Kellaway looked underdone. In hindsight playing Duncan straight away looks like a mistake. I'll never give up on the Tiges but I've officially snapped it. Why couldn't this game have been scheduled for Sunday night so that my entire weekend wasn't wrecked? Sorry gotta go, can't add anymore, can't think straight, too distressed, room spinning, getting mad at shadows, where's that ****in cat? I'm gonna give it a ****ing hiding..........................................

feels like i guess every tiger supporter absolutly gutted and filthy[well not all tiger supporters].
why is it that we showed a bit of desperation in last qtr when we were behind. why couldnt we do it early in the match? we are not that good to be that complacent youd think?

*what is wrong with otto? he couldnt hold a mark to save himself i mean geez how many times did he spill the mark? i lost count.

*how simple is it when tackling a player to turn him around in the process common sense if ya ask me.

*both tivendale and bowden shots in the last qtr should have been shoe in goals. not good enuff.

*as far as the rest of the season goes. with 13rnds to go we would at least need to win 7 to 8 of them considering our crap %.

Strangely enough I wasn't as shattered during last night as I was after say the Adelaide or Freo game. I think then I still had hopes that we were a top four side - hopes which have been well and truly dispelled. Didn't John Button say (of Geelong) that the crap performances were one thing but it was the hope that really killed you. I must confess that I look forward to the rest of Richmond's season with less hope and to be honest less interest than I can remember for a long time.

The annoying thing is of course that last night was in a way so predictable. So many judges tipped St Kilda (two of four on League Teams) which really reflects how low their opinion is of Richmond's toughness and mental strength- opinions which yet again have been well and truly vindicated.

The Freo game ****ed me off. This one has me back on my heels.

The second half was like being in an airplane with engines out, going for the re-light, watching the ground approach faster and closer - and not having an ejection feature in your cockpit.

What's worse is that there was hope right to the end. All we needed was to find a bit of aggressiveness or form, boot a couple through and we could salvage it. No getting around that pesky rule that when time's out, the team ahead wins.

I think "season gone" is a tiny bit extreme, but not off the mark by much. We cannot toss games like this casually into the "L" pile. For me, this was one of the most painful single sporting results in recent history. I haven't been this outraged since Oakland won at Kansas City last year. If our season does tank, I think we could point directly to this week as the moment we hit the iceberg.

"Digging yourself out of a hole" is just an expression. You have to F#(king CLIMB OUT! Digging gets you deeper.

It's time Richmond learned that a Football game has four freaking quarters.  Other than those kind remarks, I must say I love my Tigers. Peace,

Can't believe that one report I saw had him in our best players?! This may seem harsh, but he was the reason why we lost on Saturday night. He has been very disappointing this season (ever since a puff piece appeared in the Herald Sun if memory serves). I always thought his strength of taking contested marks made him one of the most valuable players in the league. Not anymore.....

I seem to recall a certain Richmond player wearing number 26 who was a valuable second-string forward option to Ottens against Melbourne and was clearly the side's best forward against Fremantle.

I can't recall his name as he hasn't played for a few weeks, but I guess with Richmond's outstanding goalscoring power on Saturday night, he really isn't needed.

the non selection of poyas is a joke. the bench time and non appearance of Rodan in the centre, is a worry.clearly frawley doesnt rate our youngsters. well he better wake up from his stupor pretty quickly and give our youngsters ago. because another 12 months of this crap will see him end up at the retirement home of sacked coaches:- 3AW.
i heard his pathetic public apology today. i heard also that he will not wield the axe. mark my words, the first people he will drop are the newmans, the fioras, the zantucks, the pettifers, the crackers. sure these guys are young and not quiet up to it, but when is he going to realise that several of our senior players arent up to it. theve had 5-10 to prove there worth and have failed.
start showing some leadership frawley, whimpey apologies arent good enough.

In hindsight it seems even more pertinent, but during the Round 1 clash, Tivendale was taken off during the last quarter and walked around the boundary with the trainer only a few metres away from me.

The thing that struck me was that he was absolutely buggered, was really struggling even though he had been off the ground for a couple of minutes or so. If this is indicative of his fitness level, no wonder he plays four quarters of quality football so rarely.

Fact is Richmond is not good enough. It looks like we peaked last year and possibly overachieved. Remember we got flogged by Essendon and then by Brisbane by over 70 points in the finals. Managed to win one in between by a team thats lying where???

Where to from here. My vote is to rebuild with a flag in mind in five years. No good saying a shorter time as a short term approach leads to no where. Just look at Richmond between '83 and '94. Just meandering in the wilderness. Does anyone seriously believe we can win a flag with the current crop of players?

Lets take the young'ns, develop them and discard the players that don't cut it. Lets be real about it, tough and fair. We have some good kids but we also have some ordinary longer term players that have had a fair go. We can talk names if you like.

Thing big, think tough and think longer term.

Carn the tiges!!!!

The performance was not good enough. I am shattered like every other richmond supporter. Hold strong though. From memory, this is where Brissy where this time last year.
