Gday guys. I haven't been to a game at SS since the new stand was put up but me and a few mates are thinking about venturing up the highway for the game against North. Its a 1pm start and no curtain raiser so assuming the weather is good, whats a good time to get there and be able to get a seat? Even thinking about forking out the extra bucks to book some tickets cos a couple of friends have never been to SS. I tell them standing area is the place to be but I haven't fully converted them into footy fans yet so prefer a seat.

Cheers!

Get there as early as you can. Don't get here over an hour after the gates open... Oh, and sit in the new stand, the view is pretty damn good.

What time do the gates open? Yeah I'd love to sit in the new stand. Its the first time i'm actually using my membership this year!

sit in the temp stand
gates open (i presume, unless things are different to any other game) at ll

Do you get the Blue and White members e-mail? The times should be in this Monday's e-mail. If there is a VFL curtain-raiser before the game, then the gates will open at about 10.30am.

1- no curtain rasier
2- 1pm start

I feel like a complete nub for asking this, but I have two mates coming over from Perth to watch this game. Couldnt get 2 seats together near me (Bay 19, GA terrace), for them, so just got em general admission tickets.

Is there Gen Admission seating in the Gary Ablett Terrace? And if so what bays... are they behind the goals?

Or else should I send them over to the temp stand...

There is 2 bays of seats in GA terrace. Just in front of standing room, behind the goals.
They're not behind the goals anymore, there used to be four bays of GA seats, but the two closest to standing room have been turned into reserved seats.

X 3 standing but like I said, i'm bringing people who aren't hardcore footy fans so they will need a bit of convincing before they become cats supporters so a seat is better.

So there are only 2 bays of seating for GA tickets? ****, fat chance of getting them without camping outside the ground.

9:30 wtf! Ok if you're in Geelong i suppose.

What are the chances of getting seats via the resale? Usually they're individual seats yeah?

And there is a seat re-sale on Friday.

:thumbsd:

Maybe I'm mistaken, but I swear I read somewhere there was going to be no re-sales for this game. If I had known, I might have not purchased GA tickets for my friends, and waited for this instead.

Ah well, I got my seats, which is what matters I guess. :D
