What does the future lie for this team will they always remain the underdogs of the competition? They seemed to have shock win over Dallas so hopefully there heading in the right direction

Apparently the sonics previous owner is sueing the current owner for breach of contract due to their lack of effort in keeping the team in Seattle. It sounds like a long shot but hopefully they'll win because a team deserves to be in Seattle. It disgusts me how easy it is for NBA owners to uproot teams and bring them to thier small home town city.
If they do go to OKC hopefully the NBA will make Bennett leave the name, colours and history behind for a new franchise to pick up in the future. The NFL did this when the Cleveland franchise went to Baltimore and at least it will give the fans some hope.

I think it's more of a PR stunt than anything from Schultz, given he's been seen as the bad guy since the sale.
I'm not really sure how he can win the case. Fraud is something hard to prove without concrete evidence.

I agree but I can only hope. Maybe the litigation by Schultz and City of Seattle will wear Bennett down over time and he'll get sick of his little play toy. It may have no real chance of winning but it will be interesting if it goes to the Washington State courts, their is obviously a bias going on there!

If u believe the rumours, the Memphis Grizzlies will relocate to Seattle if/when the Sonics move to Oklahoma ..
BTW that move (OKC) isn't confirmed, a big legal/law suit is on the cards, and there is a chance (maybe small) that the Sonics will stay in Seattle ...

I'm struggling to see the benefit of Memphis moving to Seattle.
Both simply have shithouse crowds, with only Indiana saving them from being the worst, and there is no way Seattle would be the answer for Memphis.

That may be true but so will Memphis.
Seattle and Memphis have been nearby each other since 2002(Furthest back ESPN records go) so I dont know if all the hassle of moving a franchise would be worth it . . . .
Yeah but I would rather watch Kevin Durant over the next 7 or 8 year than anyone on the Memphis roster.
The owner of the Sonics is moving to Oklahoma for a new arena and it’s his home state, I am not sure why the owner of Memphis would move to the side to Seattle.

Slightly of the topic but there is also articles out there about George Shinn moving New Orleans Hornets back to Charlotte and Charlotte moving to New Orleans. Who the heck knows why though????

Umm the Hornets have more chance of moving to Australia then back to Charlotte. Total fallout between Shinn and Charlotte, no chance at all it would work.
